Great food always. Lovely staff always willing to help and advise. The portions are very generous. Great choice of deserts.

My family had a meal here which was first rate in terms of quality and all at a reasonable price. There was a service hiccup on the night which does not seem to be the norm and to his credit, the proprietor has been in personal contact to discuss the issue in detail. I feel that this approach to customer service was superb and has far outweighed our original grumble. Top marks to Dion; confidence restored andd would now confidently recommend.

Having heard that this is a very popular restaurant that requires booking in advance I was pleased to discover that the reputation of the Goat Inn as a great place to eat is well deserved. Myself and two friends enjoyed a brilliant meal there - I can personally recommend the garlic and herb butterfly chicken. Also, if you choose the salmon in prawn sauce, be prepared for a humungous piece of salmon - really incredible portion size.
With a very reasonably priced bottle of house wine this made for an excellent evening, and my only complaint is that they ran out of pavlova - which looked delicious!

We've eaten here four times now over several months, and are likely to do so more frequently as we will be moving quite close by.
Its a very welcoming pub, with excellent choice on the menu, with specials list. Each dish we have had has been beautifully cooked, very generous portions and served by friendly helpful staff. The real ale is well kept, you can sit and eat in the bar or in the restaurant. T
They also do functions here and once when we had our lunch there was a small wedding reception party being catered for, without any knock effect to our service.
Highly recommended if you are passing on the A487 between Porthmadog and Caernarfon, or even going out of your way to visit.

The food here is really nice, the staff are pleasant and you get service with a smile. There is a large grassed outdoor seating area which is good, well worth a visit.
