We were looking for somewhere to stop off and get a good quality meal in a nice establishment with our two children. Thompsons was busy with locals at the bar and eating when we arrived on a Friday night. My husband went in to enquire if they were ok with us bringing kids (7 and 9) in. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The kids shared a steak which they enjoyed, I also had steak which was delicious and husband had Belly Pork which was apparently very good. The kids were very well behaved but it was lovely to be made welcome in somewhere other than a pizza place when on travels, it's always difficult when you don't know the venues. An unexpected great night out on a very long journey.
Could not recommend enough.

We found this little gem when another restaurant didn't have any room. Have been to this bistro 2or 3 times now and are always impressed. A warm welcome, friendly staff and excellent food very reasonably priced. We now plan on trying them out for the evening.

We heard about this restaurant through tripadvisor, trying to find alternative restaurants in Sudbury. We found this to be a friendly place, which was not too crowded but had a buzz around it. The food was lovely and was reasonably priced for what it was. We would recommend this to others who are looking for a nice restaurant in Sudbury.

Popped in for another visit on Saturday - excellent, friendly service - there was one table for 4 left @ about 1.20, and the waitress checked she could put us on it without being asked. Food great - would be 5 stars but the mains are a bit limited. Make sure you get desert - the lemon posset was divine!

The owners and their team are really knowledgeable and fun. The menu looks straightforward and it is but it is freshly prepared and local good quality ingredients. You know you will get a consistent meal and can take friends and family and all will be happy. The proprieters and the chef know what they are doing and choose quality food and wine. This is a restaurant that both outsiders and locals use and go back to time and time again. They welcome people to their restaurant or just for a drink and is the best place in Sudbury - really lovely.
