We really enjoyed our stay in lovely accommodation, surroundings and truly great food. We met other guests at dinner and the conversation was
Lively, led by Andy who also led our early morning walks in the vineyard.
if it fits in your itinerary definitely book a stay.

Mijmering is an estate in a beautiful landscape. We stayed in a very comfortable cottage surrounded by vines. The hosts Penny and Andy create a very nice atmosphere. At dinner they sit with all their guests at a large table, serving delicious food and Andy's own wines.

We stumbled across Mymering along our Garden Route Adventure with no accommodation booked for the trip. We had been going to stay in Ladismith and then saw signs to Mymering which we decided to follow, a few KM's later and up a dirt road we found a small piece of heaven, we are just sad we did not have more time to enjoy it.

We arrived at 6.45pm and luckily they had accommodation in the Madiba suite, a very comfortable and spacious room, sun beds outside with your own small pool to cool off. Bathroom enjoyed a double shower and the view from the bedroom was stunning. We joined the rest of the guests at 8pm for a beautiful 3 course meal accompanied with Hillock wine.

The next morning we enjoyed an early walk prior to breakfast around the estate and a hearty breakfast where their own jam is enjoyed was had before departing back onto the road. We wished we had more time to enjoy the tranquility and beautifulness of their location and the stunning views. We will definitely be back and will be recommening Mymering to any friends travelling to SA.

Room Tip: We stayed in Madiba but another couple recommended the Jacuzzi room for when we return!

We spent three nights there and enjoyed every minute! The guest house in the little karoo is located in a very beautiful surrounding. Penny and Andy are great hosts and they made our stay even more memorable. The bungalows are very nice and tasteful decorated and have a lot of privacy. We enjoyed the morning walks with Andy and the dogs and the splendid and healthy breakfasts. In the evenings Leo spoilt us with an excellent 3 course menue and we had of course to taste all the selfmade wines, which we liked a lot. It's a pity that you can't buy them abroad. All in all a heaven on earth experience!

We had heard of Mymering from guests at Oystercatcher Lodge,Shelley Point, another of our very favourite places. On their recommendation we sent friends to Mymering in November before we had even visited, they loved
It as well.
We went for three nights early February. What a wonderful location and hosts. Brilliant to be on a working wine farm, Andy took us out on two lovely walks before breakfast, one up the mountain, not strenuous, and another through the vineyards.

The evening meals were first rate, it was wonderful to share the long dining table with other guests.

We had arranged splendid lunches a couple of times as it was very hot at the time and as the location was so idyllic we did not want to leave,so we spent the day reading on our stoeps and going into the plunge pool to keep cool.

The room had air conditioning so we coped well with the heat overnight.

In the evenings we went walking through the vineyard to work up an appetite for the amazing dinners.

We would thoroughly recommend Mymering, we hope to stay there many more times.

The Mymering was our little bit of paradise for a few days. The suites are comforable the views are fabulous and then there are the dinners, long drawn out affairs with plenty of good food, conversation and wine.

Although the farm is a little remote it easy to get around and Andy and Penny will have lots of advice for things to do in the area.

Just a little tip - be prepared for free roaming dogs, chickens and a few bugs. The website states that a complimentary bottle of wine is available with dinner. This is no longer the case and I understand that Penny is have the site amended.

The consistency of service and accommodation is a wonderful experience at Mymering. The peacefulness and tranquility of Mymering coupled with the excellent meals should not be missed by travellers. Penny and Andy are superb hosts with Leonardo's great cooking. As a business traveller resulting in my staying over in many places, I would put Mymering at the top of my list of places to stay and eat.
