Great location, very clean rooms, comfy beds, nice bathrooms and all at a great price. Got a tasty breakfast the following morning for all of £2.99! Take note of other reviews on finding the car park, which is somewhat hidden away and do visit the Cathedral. The Deanery looked like a great place to eat but, sadly, was fully booked. All in all, well done Wetherspoons.

Just returned from one night at this Wetherspoons hotel and had to report what a good time we had.
All staff were very attentive especially the gentleman on reception who showed us the way to the small car park at the rear. Without instruction you will never find it. Drive through Sainsbury car park to top corner and follow delivery road where you will see the sign for the hotel.
Our room on the top floor was clean and tastfully decorated, overlooking the square which was buzzing on market day. When the bar turned out at last orders it was a bit noisy but that didnt last long. The bathroom was bright modern and fresh.
We had breakfast and an evening meal and both were hot and excellent value. Drinks were reasonably priced as are all their pubs. The only small gripe I would have is not enough staff on the bar at busy times but that did not delay the delivery of our meals.
Their TripAdvisor certificate was proudly displayed on reception and so it should. Thanks again.

We weren't expecting much from this hotel as it was really cheap to stay the night. It's owned by JD Weatherspoons, but don't let that put you off. We ended up spending the evening in the bar, and having breakfast in the morning. The bedrooms are spacious, modern and very 'Boudoir-esq'. really nice. Clean modern bathroom, and quiet rooms.
The breakfast was very good value. Full cooked Veggie or traditional breakfast for£2.99. It was very busy for Sunday breakfast, not with residents, but families coming out for a full cookie.
Nice experience. Will definitely be back.

a listed building steeped in history and re-furbished by Wetherspoons in 2011..their 800th pub.The staff were very nice & courtious,my wife & I could not fault the food (check out the chips, they`re actually brown! ).The chap on reception could not have done any more for us.
Friday evening the bar was packed but I got served in seconds,I had one of their many HAND PULLED beers, a good selection of lagers as well as many spirits ,all were good prices. On day 2 we went to Ripon Cathedral which is a must see,we walked it in 3 minutes and the hotel itself stands right in the town centre which is where their famous market is held every thursday.Car parking is minimal for the hotel but there is a short stay car park facing and a large long stay 2 minutes around the corner..£2.50 for 4 hours or over until midnight, not bad eh? Well worth a visit.

Room Tip: a room at the back is recomended for quietness...although the cathedral is just around the corner, you will NOT be kept awake by bells !
