just returned from 1 night here & we thought this b&b lovely & inviting, as were Barbara & Bill! Our room (6) was really comfy & the breakfast was excellent. It's in an ideal location for walking into the city of Ripon - we were there to see our friends' daughter who was one of the Olympic torch bearers running through the city in the afternoon & though we had officially checked out in the morning they were kind enough to let us leave our car in their carpark until after the event, which saved us alot of hassle!

The cottages and garden are very pretty and well located, and Ripon is an attractive town. We were a party of four taking three rooms. All the rooms were charming, and were equipped with everything one could ever need, including even a pair of scissors. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful, recommending a very good pub dinner and providing information about gardens and stately homes in the area when we expressed an interest (there were also good reference books and brochures in the common room). The breakfast was excellent. Our only problem initially was finding the place - the market square was closed for an event, and our GPS pointed us the wrong way up a one-way street!

Room Tip: The wi-fi signal was a little weak in the room furthest from the centre of the cottages.

The Grade II cottages are a beautifully kept combination of comfort and old world charm, sitting above a large flower surrounded lawn close to the centre of Ripon. The owners are both charming and very helpful. It is also within an easy stroll to Fountains Abbey.

A delightful B&B on the edge of Ripon town centre with parking and super-fast WiFi. My wife and I loved staying here. The owners are very friendly and breakfast is all you could ask for.
The location is very handy for exploring by foot, driving (just off A1M) and close to the superb Fountains Abbey & Studley Water Garden.
We stayed in room 2 which is a good size and has two single beds. Lovely views too.

We arrived in Ripon without anywhere to stay, and an extremely helpful chap named Paul, in the Tourist Information office booked us in at Box Tree Cottages B&B. This was one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. It's a grade II listed building with it's own beautiful grounds, just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Ripon. There are two couples who own and run it, and when we were there, it was the turn of Bill and Barbara to be on duty. They are the most welcoming and friendly hosts you could wish for, and everything about our stay was excellent. We just wish we could have stayed longer, but we will be back. In fact we left this morning and I still had the room key in my pocket - sorry, Bill and Barbara, it's on it's way back to you.

Friendly, welcoming and comfortable with a delicious breakfast to follow. Very impressed and will definitely be back. Thank you B & B (that's Bill and Barbara!)

Room Tip: We had room 6 - a large double room and very quiet
