“Good day out”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

Good place to go with something on offer for most people.
Forest and lakeside walks compliment the play park outdoors while indoors you have a pleasant cafe with options from a cuppa and biscuit or scone up to a full meal.
The centre also has a nice shop with plenty of information about other attractions etc. there are often exhibitions in the building as well as a schedule of outdoor events throughout the year.
The general area is clean and well maintained.

“Bird Feeding”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

One of the rangers was hand feeding wild birds, greattits and robins. He gave bird seed to my 7 year old who stood for 15 minutes while birds flew down and ate from his hand. Just fantastic. Thank you.

“Great outdoors centre.”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Always love coming here... Close to the Lurgan motorway exit. Well sign posted. Great place to explore a bit of the outdoors without going along way off... There are some lovely walking paths you can go on around the centre. Bird watching, lots of bird life all year round. Great tourist centre with lots of info on the area. Tourist shop and cafe. Sometimes there are good exhibitions going on. You will find plenty of parking and a play area for the children as well as being on the edge of Lough Neagh. Love it.

“What a nice afternoon!”
Reviewed October 31, 2012

Partner and I out on daytrip called here. We enjoyed our time looking at the scenery, could see right across Lough Neagh to Slieve Gallion mountain behind Cookstown. Good play-area for children, little gift shop combined with tourist information point, but the cafe is really good value for money. Since it was afternoon, we thought we might have a cuppa and a scone, but instead were tempted by the apple crumble (after all, it was Hallowe'en!). I have to report that it was indeed excellent with the accompanying custard topping, especially at a price of £2 per generous portion!! Next time we will go for lunch as there had been a great selection of hot meals, equally modestly priced.
