Went here for breakfast on Sunday. This was the first time since reopening and we were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. From the welcoming staff, cleanliness, and good breakfast buffet. We were rather late as the buffet service was nearly over but will go earlier next time. Plenty of parking and easy access.

Had a lovely meal here on Sunday. Both of us selected the Carvery - lots of choice and big servings, even though we chose the small plate. Very friendly and helpful staff and food was very tasty too.

Having enjoyed many carveries here over the years I visited with confidence even knowing that there’s been a change of ownership.
What a disappointment! This wasn’t anywhere near the standard that it used to be.
Meat was very tasty but can only be described as warm - definitely not hot. Very poor choice of vegetables- carrots, turnip and brussel sprouts only. Supposedly fresh potatoes arrived as we were in the queue. Oh good we thought. But they certainly weren’t fresh - clearly old stock warmed up and not very nice.
Sorry, but won’t be coming back again.

Went for breakfast Monday wasn’t great told they had problems in the kitchen and food delayed as being cooked in oven ?? Hash browns were dire and it tasted different! Also been a few times in week for carvery but this has got worse sprouts hard and no other green veg if you don’t like them! Went about 4pm other day normally carvery is refreshed between 3-5 so suprised to see it still on so opted for this but wish we hadn’t as looked liked it had been there all day and most of it was dried up! Can’t fault the staff as they are always cheery and helpful even if they are busy but dont know what’s happened here but really needs to get back on track!

Thank you for giving us this feedback. We did have an issue in the kitchen, we had no gas supply, which meant we had no fryers, griddle or grill. We did do our best to stay open and still provide food for people. you will pleased to know we are back up and running as normal now though.

Our carvery does get refreshed often, when we have had a very busy lunch the carvery is refreshed continuously, which may explain why it was still on after 3pm. I do apologise if it was not up to scratch though. Did you manage to mention it to any staff members? we are always more than happy to replace a meal to make sure our customers leave happy.

Thank you again for your review.
