“Lovely Hotel and warm welcome”
Reviewed August 4, 2014 via mobile

From the minute you step through the door a warm friendly welcome. The receptionist is so lovely helping me check in for my flight and remembering me from my last stay. They go the extra mile.

The room I had was lovely, big and clean and the view from the balcony was amazing.

Restaurant friendly and helpful staff food good.

Swimming pool and staff also excellent.!

Would highly Recommend

Me and my Fiance stayed here the 2nd and 3rd of aug. You arrive at three when the check in time is. We were greeted with friendly staff! However we did arrive at our room and the dopr was open and it was not ready yet (there was a girl in the bathroom ran away and didnt come back) a man did come to our room to finish it but we noticed some things had not been done to speed up the room. We forgot about that and enjoyed the amazing balcony with a terrific veiw of the golf course! We then went to the restuarant for dinner. We both got the 'mellion burger'.. bad choice!!! The burger was burnt as well as the bread!! We also got garlic bread as a side which i could hardly bite because it was so hard! The second night we decided to eat their again as the fine dining was closed on a sunday! I got the ribs - disgusting!! The meat was very dry!! The sauce was horrific! Definate no no! My partner got the 'steak and ale pie'- again bad choice! Was again very dry and not very nice tasting! We got breakfast both mornings the 1st day the breakfast was lovely! The next was horrible and half the portion we got the day before?
Lovely place to stay but i advise you to go out for dinner instead of the dissapointment!!!!

We were staying for just a night as a quick break. We booked in for some treatments the massage was superb!
The food... Not so great - undercooked... Prawns still see through and cold in the middle (warmed to slightly pink on the outside) Sent back to have them cooked properly - came back marginally warmer...
A Mediterranean veg and goats cheese ciabatta... raw finely diced peppers sprinkled on a still chewy piece of bread, with lumps of cold goats cheese on top!? ... It's quite hard to get a ciabatta wrong...

The rooms were lovely... clean and all you need.

A silly point to pick up on but... the toilets outside the restaurant area are not far off public loo's standard. Why would you go to so much trouble making everywhere in the reception area and restaurant look so lovely and contemporary, and then have toilets like that?

Breakfast was ok - perfectly acceptable, but could have done with being hot instead of lukewarm.

The staff were all lovely, friendly and happy to help.

All in all the stay was OK, but let down by silly points.

Room Tip: Pay a bit extra for the superior rooms with a view and balcony.

My daughter got married here on midsummers day. The staff were superb always polite and well dressed, nothing was to much trouble. Food was excellent over the four day stay and very well presented. All our guests were very impressed with the our choice of venue. All in all a memorable weekend that all went to plan thanks to all the staff.

Overall nice hotel , spa and pool. However creaking floors in corridor, breakfast was repetative and could have been hotter. One meal served cold in restaurant and people smoking in adjacent balcony. It's a shame as they are trying, but not quite there yet for the money charged.

Booked this hotel for a one night stay for our anniversary. After I had booked I read some of the reviews on here and was a little apprehensive, but I needn't have worried. The hotel was first class, we had a superior room overlooking the golf course which was fantastic, it was clean, comfortable, quiet, well equipped and most importantly when we stayed, air conditioned! The staff were all very friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to help. We had an evening meal and breakfast the next morning both of which were excellent. The leisure facilities were also great. I can't comment on the golf course as I don't play but it certainly looked amazing. As for some of the comments regarding the beds, I can only imagine that these people were very unfortunate as ours was very comfortable. All in all, would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Go for a superior room overlooking the golf course and surrounding countryside, they are a little mo...

Great place to stay, the rooms are modern and have large comfortable beds. The staff are friendly and very accommodating. The food is pretty good with good selection on the menu. Excellent leisure facilities too.

Room Tip: Get a room with a balcony over looking golf course!!
