“Top youth club for young people”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

My son attended Livewire for several years. It is a charitable organisation run by dedicated and experienced volunteers and musicians. They teach young people how to play many instruments although guitar appears popular. They have sound engineers and help budding musicians get going. Often have visiting well known musicians and is well Patronised by the best. It's situated in a beautiful spot right on the waters edge at Saltash with the amazing 2 bridges on the Devon Cornwall Border. Especially the Brunel Bridge is a must for visitors. Being surrounded by pubs is useful for parents or visitors one in particular, the Boatman. I can write more about that elsewhere. It changed my son's life from nothing to a seriously top musician and he owes it all to Livewire. They are amazing talented and generous people. Worth supporting if you're looking for a cause or if you need help with your teenagers. They will not look back if they take the brave step to join Livewire.

Girlschool were fantastic in this intimate venue. There were power problems but the ad-libbed. Saltash is lucky to have this place.

If you don't know about this place then it is worth finding out. A really interesting different useful and entertaining project in an older building on the waterside providing young people with an invaluable opportunity for youngsters to get involved with music and performance. A charity, significantly supported over very many years by some big name rock artists. See the vibrant website and get to some of the public events.
