Absolute treasure beautifully kept and if you get the chance to visit before Christmas the garland is amazing- made from flowers from the garden which have been preserved.

“Great to see the Christmas garland at this good example of a Tudor house”
Reviewed December 15, 2012

I went specifically to see the "Christmas garland". It was wonderful. It is in the great hall and the smell of wood smoke is lovely as you enter the room. The "guides" were informative and explained everything clearly. We had a coffee and cake at the restaurant - good coffee. Christmas lunches and other lunches and snacks were being served.

“A really nice house”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

A stunning tudor house by the river tamar with some woundful rooms to explore and shows the history of the period well. There is also really nice collection of old wepons which the edgcumbe family have collected over the years. There is also a really nice Quay, Mill, gardens and little church on the footpath and a lovely area to walk around. The car park suggests a donation. A good day out and especally if the weather is dry so you can walk around the gounds.
