My friend and I visited this restaurant after reading the great reviews on Trip Advisor. We were staying locally for the weekend and didn't want to trawl the area in the hope of finding somewhere good to eat on a Saturday night.
We were so pleased to have made the right choice. From entering we encountered the unfamiliar sound which was the buzz of conversation amongst the diners in place of Indian music. We were shown to our table and despite being half an hour delayed this posed no problem. We were promptly served with drinks and then our starters. The portions were enormous, beautifully presented and delicious. Wonderful combinations of flavours hit the palate almost instantly. The staff were attentive, helpful and unintrusive. The manager who saw that I was struggling to cut up my chicken with a table knife offered me a steak knife which just sliced through the chicken making it easier to carve. The staff worked well as a team and were always on hand when required. The management have done an excellent job on staff training and everyone we met seemed proud to be working in such a quality restaurant. My friend was also delighted with her meal and we didn't have room for a dessert.
I would highly recommend you visit this restaurant when in the area. I shall certainly return and only wish I lived closer to the beautiful Darby Dale. Thank you to all the staff in the kitchen and front of house for such a wonderful and memorable evening. You certainly deserve your place up there with the best Indian restaurants in the country!
