“Big flavour, big plateful!”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Warm welcome, good service, very good food and reasonable prices.
We rented a holiday cottage in Bakewell and other visitors had posted good comments indoors. They were right!

“Good quality food”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

It wasn't full but even on a warm Tuesday evening this restaurant was doing a good trade in both sit down and takeaways. The food was generally excellent: popodoms were crisp; chutney was fresh; tandoori mixed grill excellent including 2 large prawns, lamb and chicken with a side sauce but a rather tokenistic salad; prawn balti flavoursome and rice; daal a little thin but good garlic flavour plus the naans which were light and puffy. The service was good although I really don't like waiters that say "no problems". So tighten up the detail on waiting and it was close to perfect.

Shame that there was no draught beer on their drinks menu but there is a good pub across the road. We would certainly return when in the area.

“Lovely Food & Gr8 Service!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Went toRajas when in Bakewell on saturday night My hubby and I had 2x popodoms with chutneys, shared a tandori mixed starter, This was lovely the onion Bhajis were really nice and looked home made, the chicken was melt in the mouth.
We then had 1 x garlic chilli chicken to share with boiled rice and a garlic naan. This dish was hot and spicy and had a lovely flavour. I had read a review that said the dishes were bland my god I found it to be the opposite. We also drank 2 x large bottles of cobra and 1 x large bottle of Kingfisher.(bill was £34.00) The restaurant was not busy when we went in at 5pm but soon after it started to fill up food was quick at coming out and staff were friendly and helpful.
Both my husband and I are big fans of indian food and this was certainly a good restaurant! Would definitely go back if visit bakewell again!
