Booked for one night to attend a Chesterfield FC match, you could see the floodlights from my room.

It's the usual Premier Inn fayre. Good quality rooms, for £19 you cannot go wrong. Breakfast was another £8.25 and they had a change that it's silver service before 07.30 and after 09.00, in between is the usual buffet service.

My room, 78, overlooked the canal and was very quiet. One great thing about Premier Inn is that they only charge £3 for 24 hours worth of Wi-Fi, I object to having to pay but they do not charge £15 like some well known hotel chains.

I was booked into this hotel by the company I work for but have stayed at other Premier Inn's before. When I checked in the receptionist was having problems with the computer which led to a 10 min delay at reception. However, during this time she was friendly and talkative and did not get stressed. She even offered to take the master key up and let me into the room and send my key card up later, but at that point the computer whirred into life and I was given my key and meal voucher and directed towards my room.

My room was clean, tidy, functional, warm but not to warm. The standard you normally come to expect from a Premier Inn. I watched TV for a little while before heading down to the Brewer's Fayre downstairs for my meal. The food was served quickly, the service was excellent, despite the pub being very busy for food anyway and I was given a quiet table in the corner. The quality of the food was also very good, the steak was heavenly and all served piping hot as you'd expect.

Upon returning to the room I used the shower which had 4 different settings before climbing into the comfy and freshly made bed and falling asleep at 8.20 pm until my alrm went off at 7am!!! Breakfast was excellent, with fresh breakfasts being cooked to order rather than the usual "buffet" style brekkie. The selection of cereals, croissants and yoghurts etc was well presented all excellent quality.

I then checked out with a quick check out process before heading off to work rested and ready for the day ahead. Really good hotel.

Have stayed here (and many others within this chain) quite a few occasions and for a budget hotel you can`t really go wrong. I`ve always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming and it is on the whole very clean, with very decent, comfortable beds.
The Restaurant provides a fair selection on the menu, which have always been of a good standard. The bar / waiting staff are good and the real ale (not always available in this chain) was in fine fettle. When all you want is a bed for the night, a desk to work at, something to eat and drink, you can`t ask for any more than this place offers. No problem in returning!

It was about the 8th time we have stayed here. What is lovely is despite the fact that we only go twice a year the staff recognise us. Everyone is friendly and the hotel connects to the restaurant so you don't even have to go outside if it is cold. It was quiet at night and the room was not overheated. Food was as you would expect-adequate. Rooms as always were clean and a reasonable size.

Great staff & very friendly, clean room, some train noise but not to bad.Good food in pub attached.Only bad thing was the pull out bed which was basically a mattress on the floor & the springs could be seen coming through the surface with no padding, thank goodness my daughter only had to sleep on it one night.Would stay again if they sort the beds out so ask before you book as they said they were sorting it.

We arrived very early in the morning owing to a flight delay. Greeted by Barry at 3am who was very friendly and efficient.
Room clean and warm. Some noise from trains but not excessive.
Breakfast in the pub was good. Service pleasant and helpful. Kept us going to teatime!
My only criticism is that the internet connection was not very good. Kept dropping us.
Overall stay was good. Just what we needed. I would recommend this budget hotel. Good value for money.

We were there over Christmas and rooms were really clean and very comfortable even though we'd not paid much. Quality was much higher than your average budget hotel. Staff were really friendly and helpful. They even left Christmas presents in people's rooms for their kids on Christmas Eve.
The only downside was that it's next to a dual carriageway outside Chesterfield (five mins by car or 25 by foot to the centre) - but there is a pub next door with children's play area and a mega Tescos opposite do you're not completely isolated.
