Description: Welcome to Harry Ramsden's at The Wingerworth, a classic dining pub with world famous fish & chips. We've combined the very best of your local pub with the tradition of Harry Ramsden's to create something really quite special here in Chesterfield. Way back in 1928, Harry opened his first store serving fish and chips from a hut in West Yorkshire and 88 years later, customers are still enjoying the great taste of his world famous fish & chips. Now we've brought Harry's to The Wingerworth, you'll not only get the opportunity to taste what's made us famous for all these years, we'll also have a fantastic range of fresh seafood specials, along with all the pub classics you'd expect to enjoy. We haven't forgotten the little ones either with our junior's choices. And let's not forget James our manager and his fantastic team, the people who bring everything to life. We've got some great people here at The Wingerworth and their hard work and dedication to providing the best food and service possible will delight you when you visit. We're proud to be a Great British institution and we're excited to be opening our doors to the people of Chesterfield, serving world famous fish and chips and so much more for many years to come!

We had been planning to visit the Wingerworth since its opening and finally managed this early evening on Saturday, taking the last available table and witnessing other on spec callers being turned away so it would be advisable to book a table. The service from the young staff was excellent, attentive enough without being too much and very pleasant staff. Simon was very knowledgable and helpful regarding the wine to complement our meal. 'Posh' pub food. God decor and excellent ambience. Will return.

Went for a meal on Monday 28th, service was good the steak was good but really serving steaks on wooden boards which both had deep cracks & had clearly seen better days.......POOR!!! Raised the issue with the waitress but she seemed completely unaware why this was a problem!

The food at The Wingerworth is superb. Much of it is locally sourced. I enjoyed my recent trip very much and look forward to my next visit. The staff were friendly and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. This pub is a credit to Chesterfield.

Four of us visited the wingerworth the other day, the whole atmosphere was very nice, it is a lovely place and I was looking forward to enjoying the food there!!
Unfortunately the menu does not cater very well for non meat eaters, although I eat the odd fish dish the choice was very limited, and I do not believe there has been much thought given for non meat eaters.
I was interested in the fish dish but it was cooked in chicken fat, so that was a no no. The linguine dish did not sound appetising and who wants a flan? Come on wingerworth , you have created this lovely restaurant and pub so make some decent changes and better choices for non meat eaters like myself!!!
Apart from that everything else was lovely, service very good, the rest of the party enjoyed their meals which are very well prepared.
I will definitely go again, when hopefully they might have altered the menu.
