Stayed here for a nights stay last week and can't fault it in any way. We went out to a party and was already checked in by the staff as we requested through a phone call in a downstairs room. On arrival we were greeted by a very handsome young man on reception who was ready and waiting for us and guided us to are room. We were given extra tea and coffee had a taxi booked for us in the morning and just left to it.

The rooms were spacious , very clean, and the beds are fantastic so comfortable. Don't listen to any bad reviews on here I don't know people expect for there money. Well worth the money if you ask me. Best Travelodge I've ever stayed in! Yes there are limited options for breakfast but it's only a 20 room Hotel so what do you expect.

Ideally located , a walk round the corner and there's a few pubs , restaurants and chip shops . town centre is 20 mins walk or 5 mins in the car.

Will not have any hesitation on stopping again and hopefully will return soon.

Well done Chesterfield Travelodge and well done to the handsome young man on reception.

Room Tip: Downstairs room ( there are stairs , about 20 steps ) no lift .

The only good thing about this Hotel is going home. We stayed there in May.The staff are nice and very friendly with the young Gentleman on Reception and the cleaners, but refit? what refit ! The bathroom was dirty with hairs in the bath. towels hard . and the carpet wasn't hoovered . As we payed £63 for the room the phrase value for money at Travelodge and Budget Hotel clearly doesn't exist anymore.

Dated Hotel and dirty and the worst Travelodge we have ever stayed in.

You can get so much more for your money. DON'T GO THERE. BE WARNED.

Two of us stayed here just for the night and it was great for the money. It is easy to find and to say it is near a busy road, noise was minimal.
Check in was quick and easy and the room was large and surprisingly clean. Im not sure why I expected it to be anything else, but it was clean, modern and very spacious.
The best thing were the bed and pillows. It was so comfy!! I was really surprised, the chain seems to have had a big overhaul and I would certainly stop again. The free parking was a bonus and although there is no restaurant, this didn't bother us. I rarely eat hotel breakfast anyway and we spent the evening out, there are plenty of places nearby.
Would recommend, it certainly isn't the Casa, but for what we paid it was value for money and a very decent bed for the night.

This is the cleanest and nicest Travelodge we have stayed at. Staff are great , This was beginning of April 2014 although there is a main road close by no problem with loud noise, any minor noise that you can hear petters out around 10pm until about 6am but no problem a great couple of nights sleep.

We stayed at Travelodge for three nights from Saturday 24 May whilst visiting friends and family in Chesterfield, which was our home town prior to moving south several years ago.
There was more than adequate free parking conveniently situated adjacent to the hotel, as was a 'Burger King' should you require a meal (there are however plenty of other places to dine in the vicinity if, like us, you don't particularly like burger type meals)

On arrival we were greeted by Suzanne, a very helpful, friendly and extremely hardworking young lady, who's job appeared to be to service the rooms as well as carry out reception duties (both of which she carried out to a very high standard).
When ultimately checking in with Neil on reception, who was also very friendly and helpful, we discovered that Suzanne was actually a supervisor who was covering for an absent cleaner. What a fantastic team Travelodge has with Neil and Suzanne - what an asset to the company they must be.
This high level of friendly customer care continued for the duration of our stay from all the staff we came into contact with.

We were allocated room number 16, which was extremely clean, and situated to the rear of the hotel on the first floor. The room was directly adjacent to a busy main road which was tastefully screened from view by trees. The road noise was kept down to almost zero due to high quality double glazing being fitted to the windows.
The room itself, which was quite spacious, had a really comfortable "Travelodge Dreamer" kingsize double bed. There was also a TV, tea / coffee making facilities, an adequate number of electric sockets, an electric convector heater, ample wardrobe space and 30 minutes FREE Wi-Fi. The room also boasted a lovely on suite bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Whilst talking to Neil on reception, we discovered that for a £10 surcharge early booking in can be made available. We consider this to be a very useful extra and money well spent as, following a long drive, we would certainly welcome the chance to get in our room upon arrival.

As we have family and friends in Chesterfield, we will certainly be visiting the area again. Based on our stay this time, we will definitely be staying at Travelodge on our next trip to Chesterfield and will be taking up the option of an early check in.

We would certainly recommend the Chesterfield Travelodge to anyone wanting conveniently situated, exceptionally clean and very comfortable budget hotel accommodate run by an efficient and friendly team.
