Disappointing is probably the word best used to describe our dining experience, which is unfortunate given that I'd chosen it for a family birthday meal based on its high ranking. I had pre-booked a table for 5 adults plus 1 child (high chair required) but when we arrived at 530pm on a Monday evening they didn't seem to be expecting us and they directed us to a sort of side room on our own (the other tables in the room remained empty throughout the evening). When I say directed I mean pointed in the general direction of the room,so we weren't sure which table to sit at as none of them were laid out as they were in the main restaurant section, and we had to fetch a high chair. The food was ok,nothing special, just average really. The service was very slow,we were in there for over 2 hours and it didn't appear very busy. There were only 5 of us and really we only had 2 courses (except for 1 person ordering a dessert of ice cream which you wouldn't expect would take that long to prepare). Plus points were that the food was clearly prepared from fresh and under 5's eat for free. We thought we'd try somewhere different based on good reviews, but I think next time we'll stick to what we know!
