Description: Koo Coffee opened it's door in September 2006, inspired by our dream of creating a unique but affordable coffee and dinning experience that people would remember. After many months of searching, a local building that was once a fondly remembered delicatessen since 1928 became available and after 3 months of hands on labouring we finally opened our doors to a expectant neighbourhood. After spending months searching and tasting, for the best coffee, we are proud to be associated with Puro coffee, a unique and fabulous tasting fair trade bean of which we have exclusivity to in the area. As well as great coffee, which is "good all day!" Koo prides itself on offering a simple yet sophisticated menu, full of great fresh continental produce sourced internationally as well as locally. Not only does Koo offer great coffee and food but we go one step further and we offer great wines which you can sample in one of our increasingly popular wine tasting events.

Popped in after ordering a bike from pelican cycles just down the road and what a lovely surprise. Good food, pleasant service and cosy atmosphere. Forget your high street chains you can find better value and originality here.

Finally I call myself a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to chips. They maybe a bit low brow but only top quality chefs really know how to cook them to perfection, and yes you've guessed it Koo serve up what must be some of the best chips ever. Love the place. Try it.

I've visited this cafe on separate occasions with each different member of my family and it's a delight - great attention to detail, the latte is excellent, the cafe food is great quality and the ambience, decor and music (Cuban style salsa if you're lucky) is wonderful. Newspapers and fresh flowers - it's a very chilled place, Service is attentive. Seems to be dog friendly on the outside seats - always one or two outside. Far and away the best cafe/bistro in Chesterfield - take your visiting friends there and pretend Chesterfield is cosmopolitan!

I had my suprise 30th birthday party here and i could not ask for anymore!!

The food we had was fantastic, the wine was constantly available and the staff could not physically do anymore to help - including decorating the place with party banners and balloons!

Everyone who attended loved the place & even a few who didnt realise that Koo was more than a coffee shop have already been back!

Donna and Jason were the perfect hosts and helped make my birthday fantastic! Many thanks to everyone involved and i really do recommedn Koo for a party occasion!

We went here last week for some lunch and had the spag bol and seafood linguine, both of which were excellent and good sized. We shared a piece of chocolate and guinness cake afterwards which was delicious. Will definitely return!
