We only spent one night in Chesterfield, like Thai food and took a punt at The Thai Pavilion. We hadn't booked, but they fitted us in. It was an inspired choice because the service and food were very good. Prices were on a par for Thai restaurants, in fact the Singha was a little cheaper than in some English Thai restaurants we've been in.
There were a couple of large groups, but that did not affect the service. There didn't seem to be any music, which is no problem, but that means the "people noise" becomes more pronounced, but not an issue.
