This is our second time at Casa and it's just keeps getting better and better.

Our first stay concluded with a very positive TA review with a couple of criticisms - I am delighted to report that there were no such grumbles this time; in fact it we were given a masterclass in customer service.

From arrival to checking out the team delivered first class service making our stay comfortable and relaxing.

The rooms are pushing at five star levels of comfort and cleanliness - the beds are probably the most comfy hotel beds ever.

But the real triumph has to be the team - nothing was too much trouble; room service at 2:30 in the morning (no problem), taxi booking (no problem), bath robes delivered to the room (no problem) - I just but can't praise them enough!!!

A special mention has to go to Charlotte who served us at breakfast; this girl should be given an award for first class guest service. I can't remember the last time I was served by such a friendly and helpful young person; she couldn't do enough to ensure we had a relaxing breakfast - note to Hotel Manager; this girl is a real gem; you've done well to find such a dedicated young person; she is a great advocate for your business.

Thanks to all - we had a wonderful time.

We choose this hotel after reading the good reviews on tripadvisor and agree totally. Great value very pleasant staff and excellent service. Could not beat the breakfast and service we received. Would definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Stayed in room 410 on 4th floor, very quiet.

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The room was lovely, clean & modern. I liked the fact that it had a fridge in the room instead of a minibar, so you could fill it with your own! The staff are friendly & helpful. It's a handy location for Chatsworth House, Bakewell etc. I definitely recommend it & would stay again

Great value really well trained pleasant staff and excellent choice of food in the restaurant
We were looking for somewhere to stay whilst visiting Chatsworth House. We couldnt have chosen better. Checking was a dream and the receptionist was really welcoming but formal. The room has great beds and the bathroom had a rain shower. The restraunt staff cant do enough to make your meal a perfect visit. All in all amazing experience for a hotel in this position.

Room Tip: This hotel doesnot have a pool or spa but doesnot deter from the value for money

Chose this hotel after a quick google search for a last minute birthday get away with my husband. I didn't look on tripadvisor until after I made the booking so was really pleased that the hotel appeared to be a popular choice and for a reasonable price of £99 B&B. Had issues booking direct with the hotel but not sure if this was me or them, however, booked via booking.com at the same room rate.

Hotel is easily accessible as we had visited nearby Matlock for the day. Agree with other reviewers, it's in an odd location and was very busy upon entering due to a football match at the ground opposite. Loads of parking (although greeted a little abruptly by a car park supervisor who was far more pleasant once he realised we were guests not parking for football!) lovely welcoming entrance and a smooth check in. We had booked a twin in error but we're swapped immediately to a double when asked. Reception staff a little robotic but friendly and informative enough.

Once in the hotel you instantly feel like you are in a different location, the décor, lighting and appearance is beautiful and very welcoming. The room was fab for what we wanted, as much as I would have loved a suite, the standard room was very well equipped. As with other reviewers I have to say the bed was fabulous!! Huge and SO comfortable. My husband has always suffered from sleep problems while I am a complete narcoleptic... however, in this bed it was the total reverse! My husband enjoyed 11 hours of solid, uninterrupted sleep! By far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in.

What makes this hotel is the standard of the staff, impeccably professional and welcoming. Definitely an asset to the hotel and a refreshing change. The little extra's also make the difference, fresh milk, fresh cookies in the room.... as all other reviewers have mentioned, set this hotel apart from others.

We eat in the restaurant on the evening, was very busy but ran like clock work and again, all staff worked to an exceptionally high standard. Made to feel very welcome and you would never know you were opposite a retail park! Food was fantastic and reasonably priced, had an amazing cheesecake! Great selection of drinks on offer too.

Breakfast... fab! Agree with another reviewer that it appeared a little congested at times as the serving counting is very small and queues form across the walkway. But food quality and quantity was still great.

I have to say the bar food the following day was not as great. We ordered of the standard menu at around 2pm. Despite being empty in the bar, the food took too long as was only warm on arrival. My step daughter joined us for lunch and her meal was served at least 15 minutes after ours. Food quality was good... just had obviously been sat around before being served, not sure why.

To summarise, I would probably say this is the most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed at and definitely worth its excellent review. We are not local to Chesterfield but I will be returning again very soon for another relaxing night away!

the majority of our food served within the hotel is sourced from our owners’ local Walton Lodge Farm? We believe that sourcing our produce so close to the hotel is key in ensuring freshness and flavour.

What a little gem! Stunning building with lovely unique artwork around the hotel. Very friendly staff, one of the best beds ever and amazing 3 course meal. Breakfast was wonderful too. My only complaint would be that the toilet roll seemed a bit cheap, other than that stunning but just in a strange town!
