Called in while actualy looking for Hardwick Inn. The miller wasn't there but a very helpful guide showed us all the workings. There were some machines in motion which gave it a marvelous soundtrack. (I was in Camberwick Green in my head). Flour milled on site was available and came complete with recipies. Well worth 30 - 45 minutes while in the area.

Nice staff who explained each part of the mill. Fascinating to hear how different stones were used to produce varying grades of flour and how different 'sieves' produced various type of grain.

Visited the Mill whilst visiting Hardwick Hall. Sadly, we missed the milling which had taken place earlier in the day. On entry, we were met by a volunteer guide who gave us a comprehensive and knowledgable brief on the history and processes of the Mill. It was an hour well spent. A tip: if visiting Hardwick Hall it is more convenient to visit the Mill first.

A great visit enhanced by a great team of well informed volunteers. Ideal if you are visiting Hardwick Hall. The mill is amazingly well kept and looked after. We were very impressed by the team there. They are very knowledgeable and keen to share the mill story with visitors. It is an inexpensive visit, with a small gift shop. parking is easy. Highly recommended for kids and families. We would recommend a stop either before or after visiting Hardwick Hall.

If you manage to visit when the mill is working this is an exceptional visit. It is worth checking before you go, to see if it is running when you go, as it only works at certain times.
The staff knew all about the processes and products and all the history, we really enjoyed it and the wife came away with some freshly milled flour
