Superb food, albeit a bit pricy. Staff and atmosphere very friendly and relaxed. Service a bit slow but the food more than makes up for that.

We called in here today for the first time and had one of the best lunches we've ever enjoyed. The food was wonderful, the prosecco and elderflower aperitif was lovely. Service was very attentive and the courtyard dining area was the perfect place to eat on a summer's day.
We had our dog with us and she was provided with a bowl of water even before we had taken a look at the menus.
I understand that dogs are also welcome in the bar area and that they are planning to put in a couple of dog friendly bedrooms too.
We will definitely be back; this is a great hotel that seems to be bringing new life into Corsham.
Whilst you are there, walk down the High Street where there are some lovely buildings and great shops - including a super bookshop - and walk your lunch off in Corsham Court parklands!

A great pub, we stayed the night and had dinner. Food was excellent, especially the smoked haddock for breakfast- delicious! We stayed with our children, which was fine but better for just adults. Have recommended to family.

Arrived for lunch, with friends on the last day of our visit to the area. What a find! Hotel staff were very helpful, and efficient - nothing was too much trouble. Surroundings in the garden were excellent as was the food we chose. Friendliness and enthusiasm were impressive and the atmosphere was relaxed.
A very elegant hotel and we would wish to return for a longer stay.

From being a rather tired place with a tired menu some while back the Methuen Arms has had a revamp in every sense. The menu is really excellent, apparently changes frequently and uses local produce where possible. The garden is delightful and the old stone building has been sympathetically updated; the toilets are lovely; always a good sign! The choice for lunch was excellent, service a little slow as it was busy; a little unexpected on a Thursday lunchtime but when I saw the menu and had a couple of mouthfuls I was not surprised.
