The establishment had an attractive frontage and entrance, but the interior was disappointing. The place was low, dark and depressing and the rear courtyard was unkempt and certainly not a place in which to eat a meal. No greeting from the staff as we entered.Maybe a good place to sit outside in the sun with a drink!

The pub's location, opposite the entrance to the Corsham Court estate, and its exterior, are excellent. However on entering the building it's all down hill. The service was okay and the pub is dog friendly, but it lacks warmth - both in temperature and atmosphere. The food was extremely overpriced and poor value. We paid £9.95 for a cheese ploughmans which comprised 2 pieces of supermarket cheddar, a soft roll and a small handful of salad. The beef lasagne was overheated and salty. My jacket potato was luke warm. And we had to wait a while for the food to arrive. We will not return and it was very disappointing. I wish we had gone to a Tesco's Express and bought day old sandwiches.

I agree with the comments below. I visited the flemish weaver a couple of weeks ago. My mother in law was stayin with us and wanted to take her for a good pub sunday roast. Walking in, the pub felt cold amd very dull, we had been on a long walk so decided to stay despite this as the smell from the kitchen encouraged us. The price seemed reasonable, we ordered our roast..... the smell from the kitchen must have been something else as the hard roast potatoes and sloppy gravy were not appetising! To add to this the veg was cold and tasted like something from a tin. As the pub became busier it was hard to feel welcome and at ease. As below the language from a couple of locals was very disrespectful. The food is extremely over priced. Overall a very disappointing experience....a real shame as corsham is a beautiful and peaceful place. This pub should not be in the heart of this beautiful village. Would not recommend!

visited this pub last year and was very impressed so as i was passing through Corsham i decided to revisit a few old places including this delightful old town pub. I must say it has changed remarkably and not for the better. The cosy feeling had been lost, no atmosphere at all and to be honest it smelt of dirty grease, needless to say i decided to try the food as it was the only place open for a meal. The food is definatly NOT restaurant standard! (although the prices are as though it is)more like roadside cafe standard.... The place started to get a bit more busy with locals and a bit more Rowdy! not that i have anything against that but if you are having an afternoon meal you do not expect loud foul mouthed drinkers infront of you while you are eating and if so i expected the landlady to have a quiet word. Didnt enjoy my food, overpriced and tasteless. Didnt enjoy my re-visit atall. Such a shame it is how it is now in a beautiful town like Corsham. Definatly wouldn't recommend it!

From the outside this pub looks like a cosy warm place to grab a bite to eat. On entering it it was very disappointing. Cold with no atmosphere. The barmaid (which i later realised was the landlady) had a face like thunder and seemed more interested in her phone!. We ordered coffee which were very nice and priced reasonably. I went to the toilets, they were clean but smelt dirty. On returning from them i saw the chef with a thick head of long black hair...not hat or net!. We had a quick look at the menu which seemed very unprofessional but a good choice. Needless to say we decided not to eat. On leaving we decided to go through the courtyard (as it boasts of this at the front of the pub). To our disgust we passed a dirty sanitary towel non the floor!...very embarassing!.....we will not be visiting again!!!!
