My husband booked a table here knowing nothing about the restaurant. We arrived to a beautiful building and were met by lovely friendly staff who showed us to our table. The menu was mouth watering! So we quickly chose starters and roast dinners, fresh homemade bread arrived with an assortment of home made butters. The starters were delicious, the roasts followed, they were superb!! Plenty of vegetables in a delicious gravy sauce, the meat was so tender! But I have to mention one small thing which is beginning to be a bit of a gripe with me, the knives!! Knives are meant to cut meat so they need to upgrade their cutlery, I can't bear having to tear at my meat because the knives don't cut!! Obviously this is no reason to not come here, in facti can't wait to return, the staff were so friendly, something The Guyers hotel and restaurant (2mins away) need to take notice of.
The building has some interesting original features on view too.
The price was very competitive and i had a fantastic Mother's Day meal!
