My Husband and myself recently visited The Bridge Tea Rooms as part of our trip to the area. We are very fond of cream teas and had heard some wonderful things about the atmosphere and quality of the food there.
I made an online booking, which I am glad I did, as it was a very popular place.
We both ordered the Bridge Cream tea which did not disappoint. There was a great selection of teas available, and the scones were delicious! A generous helping of clotted cream and 2 different jams - all made it a very pleasurable experience.
My only slight criticism, and I guess it wouldn't have been so bad had we not had somewhere to be, was that we ended up waiting over 15 minutes for our bill, even after having asked 3 different members of staff.
All of the staff seemed very disorganised and flustered - perhaps it was an off day, but it seemed a few tables around us also had issues with things being forgotten or the wrong order being brought out.
It certainly didn't ruin the experience for us, and if we are ever in the area again we will be back!
