“Great place to stop”
Reviewed April 27, 2014 via mobile

The Cottage co-op has really benefitted from the redesigned layout of the street, which means the garden gets lovely sunshine. The building is old, looks 1750s, beautiful old stone, also means it can be chilly indoors on a wet day.

We stopped for tea and a short lunch which was filling and enjoyable. Sat outside in the sun, too.

“Quirky cafe”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

Slightly eccentric, small cafe with pleasant outside space overlooking a square. Good food, reasonable prices.

“Bradford on Avon Beautiful... horrible restaurant & terrible service”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

Bradford on Avon is a stunning little town and well worth a visit. Unfortunately, I can not say the same about this restaurant. The food was average at very best (being polite), the service was undoubtedly the worst I have ever experienced, the couple working the day we went were unbelievably rude... Basil Faulty by comparison could be a Michelin star waiter. We asked for salt and pepper and were berated by both staff and then when they (eventually) bought us the salt and pepper 10 mins later to accompany our cold food, they brought us two salts and then moaned at us when we politely asked for for pepper. We've never experienced anything like it before and wouldnt recommend anyone visit this vile little place. There seemed to be lots of other places to eat and we wish we had the fortune of eating somewhere else.... Oh well hopefully next time x

“Lovely little lunch spot”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

Discovered this place whilst on a Sunday walk. The courtyard area outside is lovely. Great value for money food, we had three snack type meals and a tarka dhal, plus four drinks and it came to less than £18. Food was tasty, and it was served quickly.

“Real food, real people!”
Reviewed September 9, 2013

We just dropped in to break our cycling trip, and enjoyed a delicious cold summer soup of cucumber, melon and mint, followed by an equally good apple and blackberry cake. All the dishes on offer seemed to be made by members of this co-operative, and the staff were efficient and friendly. We ate inside - the building is a pair of converted weavers' cottages, with a very comfortable, homely atmosphere. The fact that this is not more highly ranked suggests only that there is not much overlap between the tripadvisor and Cottage Cooperative demographics - it's certainly no reflection of the quality of the food. And they lent us a spoon to use as a tyre lever when we discovered a puncture as we were about to head off!
