Mr. Salvat’s Coffee Room

Stepping into Mr Salvats coffee Room is like stepping back in time but with great cakes. The Georgian rooms are delightful and where else would you expect your order to be taken with a quill pen. People should slow down and appreciate the surroundings but I guess there is no pleasing everyone - I, on the other hand can't wait to reccomend it to friends and family.

This lovely Georgian coffee house is a treasure. Who would have thought you could take a step back in history and have great cake at the same time! Anyone who doesn't enjoy the experience of Mr Salvats (where else can you have your order taken with a quill pen?), either didn't stop long enough to smell the coffee or had a personality bypass. Looking forward to my next visit.

If you come to Bradford on Avon you MUST visit Mr Salvat's 17th Century Coffee Room! You'll be greeted by Mr Salvat himself, dressed in period attire with quill in hand to take your order.

This is a place to come for light refreshments not a full meal, but alongside the tea coffee and cakes you may also order soup, baked potato and lasagne if you are peckish. All are at very reasonable prices.

The interior is lovely - done up in period style with benched coves to sit around. In the winter you'll enjoy a cosy open fire. Salvats is small, intimate, friendly and a real treat. In the summer you may eat in the lovely secluded garden at the rear. My one tip (Mr Salvat, are you there?) is that period chairs in the garden would look nicer than the plastic ones. In all other respects though I love this place - and you probably will too! Go and try.

my wife and I with our son visited Bradford on Avon recently and wanted a quick snack. when we went to this restaurant it was empty inside but a sign told us there was a garden to the rear. when we asked if we could go to the garden we were told rather rudely that it was full but we could sit inside, which really did not look appealing. instead we left and found another rather lovely restaurant
