We went on Valentine's night for Vito's special Valentine meal - and special it was. The venue is pretty special too; a lovely old building, restored and updated to a very high standard. Service was impeccable and the advice offered on the extensive wine list was spot on. The food on offer for £35 per head was selected from the normal menu and represented good value for money. And chef Marc, who learned his trade in some of Bath's very best restaurants did us proud - all of us, it seenmed to me.

Four of us ate there on a Saturday night. The restaurant, which is in a very old building, is spread over several floors and was quite busy. We all opted for main course plus dessert and everyone really enjoyed their meals. My Morrocan lamb with couscous was really good except for the few pieces of popcorn(!) on top of the lamb which were a bit strange and moved to the side of the plate. The white chocolate and rhubarb cheesecake was excellent but, as it was deconstructed, might have been a surprise to some diners.

Just had lunch here. It's a lovely old building and remarkably light inside which is not the impression you get when looking at it from the street. The furnishings are very comfortable and crockery, cutlery and glassware of a high class as is the table linen.

Food is very tasty and beautifully served and the service was attentive without being over powering. This is our first visit and we will be back to try the Gables for dinner.

Dinned here on Saturday night with friends. The building is really lovely, nice cosy feel, open fires and comfortable seating. The waiters took our order while sitting in the bar area, then gave us some really delicious nibbles. Once seated upstairs it took a little while for our starters to arrive, The food was beautifully presented and really tasty, although the portions did feel a little small. The mains were just as beautifully presented, however sadly they were also as small, and a little cold. My main was a little salty as was one of my friend's. By the time we had finished our main I couldn't help feeling hungry! Dessert - the best course. Significantly bigger than the starters and mains and delicious! I would definitely recommend the chocolate tart if you are a choc lover!

Lovely wine and friendly staff, just a little slow to serve on the night we went. Just wish the portions were bigger! I would certainly recommend though, and definitely go back.

We are regulars at the Three Gables. The staff are knowledgable and attentive, the food is of a consistently excellent quality, and the wine list is good.
