We booked this hotel for our anniversary for a weekend in September and the receptionist was extremely helpful and there was no problem with the booking. At 8 o clock that evening we received a phone call saying that our booking had been cancelled as someone else had booked the room online! The hotel then offered to phone around to find us another hotel so we waited for a phone call. Half an hour later we received a phone call informing us that there was another hotel with room available and we were given the number. We then had a look at this hotel online and the rooms were triple the price! We were extremely disappointed that this hotel had not even offered to book us a new room in the other hotel and hasn't even informed us of the huge price difference. We are extremely disappointed with how we have been treated as it was supposed to be a special weekend for our 20th wedding anniversary. I cannot believe that after choosing to book over the phone instead of online to ensure we were going to have a nice weekend, an online booking has taken priority a few hours later. Very disappointing service.

Very comfortable and relaxing stay for a nice weekend in Bath. Much better value for money than you'd get in the city.

Staff were very nice and room was nice enough if a little worn.

Good breakfasts, we didn't eat dinner at the hotel as we found the menu a bit weird, another reviewer hit the nail on the head with the description of fussy.

Only 20 mins walk to station and then 15 mins pleasant journey to Bath. Plenty of restaurants and pubs in BOA if you don't want to travel further afield.

we stayed for one night and had an excellent nights sleep in a lovely 4 poster bed! The room was clean and a good size. We used the pool which was lovely. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The only thing we found disappointing was the evening menu, it was just too 'fussy' for us, we are not difficult to feed but every dish had something we didn't fancy! Maybe a couple of simpler meals could be made available? Having said that we had a surprisingly good meal at 'The Beef and Barge' over the road and it was a pleasant stroll!

Room Tip: we were in the main house, very quiet.

A lovely small hotel on the edge of Bradford-on-Avon. More of an inn. The owners work very hard and rooms very clean. Dinner was quite good and a good deal on the half-board plan. Only issue is paper-walls and when busy, a sense of being in a bee-hive rather than a quiet bedroom. Staff quite attentive. I agree rooms quirky and though I wouldn't seek them out again, it was overall a good stop.

Having stayed here several times, all for work, I am pleased to say they have it just right.

My meal was lovely, they get better & better at it & the choice was good too.

Breakfast is a joy & the rooms quirky & very comfortable.
