“A real pizzeria”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

Recently discovered this great little pizzeria in BoA. Fabulous food and very friendly chef/patron who is second generation Italian. Have since recommended to colleagues who also had a great meal. Very informal and always busy so booking is advisable.

“Great atmosphere and dessert but overall disappointing”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

Although this restaurant satisfied an on-the-car-journey craving for pizza, it was not an entirely satisfactory experience. Reservations are a must, as all tables were topped with reserved signs and the restaurant was packed throughout our stay. The restaurant space is tiny, but well appointed and the stacks of flour, coffee, and pizza boxes added to the atmosphere. The menu was filled with tasty options, more pricey than familiar chain restaurants, but very plentiful in portion size if our meal and those at surrounding tables are the standard. Although we were among the first to arrive for the evening, it took a very long time to be served, despite the fact that the three people working were standing together in a line, surveying the dining space. We eventually ordered a dish of olives as a starter. I didn’t notice the harsh lemon oil taste mentioned in another review, but our dish did have a long, blond hair in it, which we attributed to the pastry brush. The pizzas arrived and looked promising, but they were ultimately disappointing – too many toppings made them impossible to finish with too much cheese and a silly amount of jalapeño peppers (even for this chilli-head) and a mountain of dessert-sweet caramelised onions plus another “pastry brush” hair in the other. I didn’t finish half my pizza and was offered a box to take the rest home, which I declined. Dessert was a redeeming feature. We shared a “Venetian bread and butter pudding” made with panettone and served with ice cream. The Montalcino d’Abruzzo red wine was also very good. The whole meal for two cost just under £60.

“Great little restaurant”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

Great food, always a good atmosphere and reasonable prices. Not many tables, so it's a good idea to book. If all else fails, you can have one of their take away pizzas.
