The outside of this Inn did not look very inspiring (I would have turned around at this point but I have a diabetic partner who needed to eat) but we saw quite a few people eating lunch and we went on in. The room was cold and all windows and doors were open, again at this point I would have left - there was no atmosphere to enjoy our food. We ordered our drinks and food without a problem although the guys sitting right in front of the bar were not going to move and they were using language I would rather not hear.
There was a long wait until the food came. It was the worst food I have been served in a pub for a very long time. There was plenty of it but it was awful and I had to leave most of it. Nowadays there are so many pubs with really good food I cannot understand how this pub keeps going.
I then went to the Ladies and this was disgusting. It was so dirty and no handle on the toilet door and the hot tap just span around so you couldn't use it.
I didn't even want to go near the soap as the container looked manky.
I have never written a report on a Pub before but felt I had to tell people how bad this was.
