Description: The Angel Inn has been totally refurbished over the last 18 months, our bar is warm and inviting, soft bench seating, in wools and tartan create a cosy, informal area. The dining area is rustic, modern and intimate with atmospheric lighting adjusted to the mood, traditional wooden furniture with contemporary twists add to what we hope will be an enjoyable dining experience. Real ale, Doom Bar and Butcombe and local ciders are complemented by our excellent wine list, of which we serve a good variety by the glass. Our gin selection is growing, well appreciated with Fever Tree mixers and Fentimans is among our non alcoholic beverages on offer. We serve good pub classics, fish & chips, ham, egg & chips and a superb burger with home made chilli jam, our scotch eggs are a must! In addition we offer an a la carte menu and specials including fresh fish are advertised on our blackboards, ice creams and sorbets are homemade and our menu is gluten free wherever possible. Sundays we offer a set menu, which includes two roasts, one of which is beef. Our bedrooms are finished to a high standard with beautiful bathrooms fitted with walk in showers. We offer a guest suite which enables a family to stay in two adjoining rooms, with it's own private access for greater privacy and relaxation. Just a few minutes from Longleat Safari Park & House and easily accessible for Bath, Salisbury and Wells, the Angel Inn is well situated for easy access to many local attractions.

Great care has been taken at the Angel to ensure that having luch there, as my wife and I did, was a great experience. The service was efficient, friendly, courteous and unobtrusive. Lunch was very well prepared and nicely presented. The dining room is attractivly decorated and the atmosphere was congenial. We would certainly recommend this venue and intend to return often.

From the moment of making a reservation to paying the bill, our experience was faultless. Courteous, polite, attentive service from all members of staff. Lovely ambience of the restaurant with roaring log fire and some fascinating art on display. But the food was incredible, a taste sensation even though we couldn't manage a dessert we had to, as the previous courses were amazing. We had homemade tomato soup & Thai cod &crab fish cakes to start. Steak & chicken for main, the steak was cooked perfectly and the best chips Ive ever had. Creme brûlée & semifreddo to finish. Thank you to all at the angel a perfect end to a wonderful break away.

Visited this Pub for lunch on Friday and we were very impressed-warmly welcomed and shown to a large dining room which despite its size was very warm and welcoming The service was attentive but not intrusive We shared a duck confit and apple rillette and were glad we did as it was substantial and delicious The mains were of the same standard and allowance was made in the bill for requested smaller portions of potato-most unusual! All in all and excellent experience, and we shall be back soon

This is a regular haunt of mine it's a place I go to for a special occasion the food is always fantastic as is the service I have been on numerous occasions and have never had cause to complain on this most recent of occasions shock horror it has improved if that was possible the place is very cosy with a log fire and a restaurant on two levels give it a try you won't be disappointed its not the cheapest food in the world but it is very tasty and worth every penny

Yet another lovely meal here, took my mum here for her birthday, she's never been here before, everyone enjoyed their meal, great service as usual, it did take quite a while to get our menus but we were chatting anyway! Thanks!
