Stayed for 2 nights in double room. Not the largest room we've ever stayed in; but not a problem. Everything worked and was very clean. Staff were lovely and extremely helpful. Food and service in the restaurant was excellent, and the view across the river and water-meadows was stunning1
Will stay again without hesitation!

We stayed at the prince leo over the easter weekend the purpose of our visit was meeting up with relatives.
The location at the end of a country lane next to the river was perfect, beautiful and quite. The rooms yes some have very small bathrooms and the ones we used had no wardrobe just a space saving rail in the corner of the room, but that taken into account the rooms are clean, warm and well accomadated with flat screen tv,wifi and hairdryer.
The bar and restaurant are very welcoming with excellant food and a good selection of beers, wines and spirits an excellant place to windown after a busy day at the numerous tourist attractions.Breakfast was served in a room just off the bar it was done to order and well presented.
The staff were all very friendly and in the main efficient, their was an occasion when we returned from a day out back to our room late in the afternoon to find the room keys in our door and no one around. I think the problems is the staff working in the day are expecting to run the bar alongside taking bookings and chambermaid duties.
Overall we and an excellant stay at the leo and would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

I stayed here in August 2011. The setting for the B&B is perfect, very quiet right next to river.
The rooms were clean and size was pefect however the shower was a converted cupboard and there was no room to dry yourself. The food in the restaurant was to die for however standards slipped for the breakfasts which were gross! The staff were helpful but sometimes unprofessional infront of guests (inappropriate discussions). I would definately return to the Prince Leopold restaurant, but i would not stay here again.

We loved this place and will be back.
Admittedly the room was small and indeed a hook on the back of the door of the shower to hang your towel on would be a small addition that would make all the difference. But bed was comfy and it was SO quiet. Bottled water was a bonus and nice big towels and flat screen tv. Although shower and bathroom small - for us it was a bonus having them separate!!
What stood it out from the crowd was the food - have the grazing dish - superb!!! Especially if it is sunny and you can eat out on the terrace or in the garden overlooking the river (tables are at a premium - but more ordered I understand)
Footpaths and walks straight out of hotel but if you are expecting evening entertainment or discos then this isnt the place for you.......as I said we loved it. Cant wait to go back to the restaurant. Breakfast was lovely - all cooked to order.

We spent a night at the Prince Leopold Inn as well as having dinner in the restaurant as a group of 4. We stayed in room 4 whilst our friends stayed in room 3. I agree with previous reviewers that the rooms are a tad on the small side but perfectly adequate. We had a small shower room and a separate toilet situated at either corner of the room. Beautiful views of the countryside from the windows, bed and pillows comfortable, room tastefully decorated. Tea/coffee facilities in room with comlimentary bottles of water.
On entering the hotel/bar area there is a lovely snug area with comfortable leather settees alongside an inviting real log fire surrounded by a variety of typical old English house books and a few childrens boxed games. The walls have a mixed variety of pictures giving history of the hotel and village life.
There is a bar type menu and a restaurant menu offered, we chose meals from the restaurant menu. The food was of a very high standard, presented well with excellent service and a relaxed comfortable atmosphere. The staff were all friendly, polite and helpful at all times. After the meal we relaxed again in the snug area with a few drinks before having a quiet, comfortable nights sleep. As the hotel is situated in a quiet country area there was no noise from outside to disturb our sleep.
Breakfast was again wonderful, full English was offered, all sourced locally. The quality of the breakfast on offer was as good as the meal the night before.
We are looking forward to returning in the summer months to enjoy sitting beside the river which was too cold to do this time around. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

my husband and I stayed here for two nights using a Groupon voucher.  It is tucked away down a country village lane and has a small river flowing across the bottom of the garden. We stayed in early March, so it wasn't warm enough to sit outside, but in the summer it must be quite idyllic here. If I lived near enough, it would definitely be my local!
Good parking at the side of the Inn.
You enter through the front door into the bar, which has been delightfully refurbished with the most beautiful  wood - bar and barstools. There is a small, cosy lounge off the bar, an adjacent room used for evening meals if desired and for breakfasts. Down a corridor there is a well integrated, tasteful extension which houses the restaurant, overlooking the garden and the river. Very comfortable, relaxing surroundings.
The owner was very welcoming and showed us to our room. The carpet on the stairs was definitely in need of a good steam clean, or a thorough Hoover at the very least! ( a pitfall of being a pet-friendly establishment or having guests who have been walking, perhaps.....but that's no excuse for not giving it a clean!)
We stayed in the twin room at the back. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable; we both slept well. However, the room is very, very small.  There is no room for a wardrobe, but there is a small rail fixed on the wall near the door where you can hang your clothes. Luckily I took hangers with me as there was only one hanger there. An open drawer was placed on th floor under the bed to store other belongings- but I didn't spot this until the second day!  My husband was more bothered by the lack of space than me,  particularly having difficulty with the small shower cubicle. But we were quite comfortable once we stopped moving about!
There was a well stocked tray in the room, with teas, coffee (including decaf), sugar(no sweetener)milk, biscuits and two bottles of water, one still and one sparkling. I liked that.
We enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant and the young waitress was charming and friendly,
Breakfast in the room off the bar was very good. I'm always pleased to see fresh fruit available, alongside assorted cereals etc, and little pots of jam and marmalade. A full English or any parts of is also available.
Altogether, an enjoyable stay. I would go back, but ask for the larger double room. It's a country Inn, not a hotel- but a delightful little gem at that!
