We stayed for 2 nights at the end of February. Warm welcome followed by tea and cake in front of a lovely fire. Debbie is the perfect host offering lots of advice on things to do in and around the area along with high quality restaurants to eat at - Debbie even drove us into Portrush one evening. The b&b is nicely decorated and with the large windows throughout offer great views to the beach. We had a room on the first floor with a view over the beach, the room is tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable, the only slight negative was the ensuite was quiet small.

My partner and I stayed for one night and were completely overwhelmed by the hospitality and services on offer at Strandeen. The location is simply stunning and views over the beach and ocean to die for. Has to be the best in Portstewart. Hosts were amazing from the minute we arrived which soon made us realise this was a luxury B&B, in a class of its own really. We were greeted with fresh coffee and scones and we chatted by the already lit fire in the guest lounge with Debbie and Richard and they shared with us their extensive knowledge about the area, what to do and where to eat. We both felt immediately relaxed and comfortable. Our room was on the 1st floor, same beautiful view. It oozed comfortable elegance, with the luxury finishing touches you would expect to find in a 5 star boutique hotel.
Weather was beautiful, crisp and sunny so we had a quick walk on the beach which was just across the road. I was already dreading leaving!
We decided to take advantage of Strandeen bike hire service and ventured off on the cycle path towards Bushmills and the Giants Causeway, an area obviously popular with cyclists and walkers. What a way to enjoy the area, can't recommend it enough!
That evening, Debbie kindly drove us to a local restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious meal, well deserved after our energetic day cycling!
Breakfast was gorgeous. Fruit platter, homemade muesli, scrambled eggs and much to my delight smoked salmon, a favourite! So healthy and served at a little table overlooking the beach, finished off a perfect stay and puts a lot of 5* hotels to shame. We'll definately come back and stay longer next time!

October 2012 we travelled to Strandeen & stayed there for our 3rd time, which is a pretty good indication first up, as to our feelings about this B&B. Truly, it is the best when it comes to all categories, from when you are met by the hostess on your arrival to the comfort & cosiness of the place. This trip to Ireland was our 5th, as we go alternate years & after finding Strandeen we would not consider anywhere else, with the place being squeaky clean & to have a hostess who genuinely cares first & foremost for her guests & caters for them in everyway. The food is 5 star so healthy & good for you. Debbie always can suggest a place to go & see or somewhere to eat in the evening. The decor & ambience of the place makes you feel so good. We have travelled throughout Ireland during our 5 trips staying at many different B&Bs & believe you me, Strandeen tops them all.

The very friendly and warm welcome continued throughout our 3 night stay. We went to the Golf Club for dinner and found it to b e very good.

Debbie is obviously very proud of her local area and shares her knowledge with her guests.

Debbie is a lovely host and we now enjoy partly cooked plums with cinnamon !

Thanks Debbie - a stay to remember.

In terms of location, standard of fitting, warmth of welcome and overall attention to detail, Strandeen has it all. The owner, Debbie, is a real perfectionist and nothing is too much trouble. The lccation...50 yards only to the waters edge and maybe a 6 minute walk to the famous Portstewart Strand and a similar distance to the prom, with its shops, coffee shops, restaurants and bars....is superb. The house is beautifully and tastefully furnished, the bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast, from the extensive choice of fresh fruit, to the freshly squeezed orange juice, to the full cooked 'fry' was a great way to start the day.
Forget your preconceptions of bed and breakfast.style guest houses....Strandeen takes it to a whole new level

Debbie was lovely, we called by chance and lucky for us we were given the best room with sea views, heating and a breakfast to die for. Thanks to Debbie we enjoyed a lovely dinner at the local golf club, Portstewart, so if golf is your thing, it is located just a 5 minute stroll away. The other plus is off street parking, Martin and Peggy from New Zealand.

We had four nights with Debbie at Strandeen. A lovely home; wonderful and varied breakfast and amazing hospitality. Her awards are very well deserved. Beautiful views over the beach too. Great position, big picture windows and amazing outlook. We will definitely come back. Thank you x
