“Comfortable, peaceful Hotel”

Have stayed in this hotel several times and cannot fault it for cleanliness and facilities. Coffee makers in some rooms are delish, dvd's an excellant addition.Rooms very large and shower excellant. The surrounding rolling green hills lead to chilled peaceful stay and the staff are always very helpful. If you can try the restaurant. It is simply superb, although meals sometimes a little too large, the taste and quality was always sublime.

We stayed for two nights on an inclusive break - Bed and Breakfast and one dinner for £158.00. Our room, on the second floor, was larger than average with a super-size double bed, a comfortable bed-settee, a desk and a flat screen TV. The room was completely un-heated when we checked in on a freezing January afternoon. We had to fiddle with the control on the single radiator and it took a long time for the room to reach a reasonable temperature. Drinking water was not provided - we had to buy it from a machine on the landing.

There is a shallow indoor swimming pool with a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Robes are not provided in the bedrooms and the changing facilities and showers at the pool are in need of refurbishment.

A generous buffet breakfast was served in the main hotel restaurant but the restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner. The hot buffet suffered from the usual problems of that style of service - dried up bacon and eggs - but the cold buffet was excellent. We dined in the Coach House - a pub-type brasserie - situated behind the hotel. Complimentary wine was provided as compensation for the closure of the hotel restaurant. Food was very uneven in quality - some excellent dishes, and some complete disasters - unripe melon which was virtually inedible, and thin overcooked smoked cod - the fish dish of the day.

The hotel's location is excellent. It has its own golf course and is beside Roe Valley Park which provides good opportunities for walking. It is also within easy driving distance of the north coast beaches and tourist attractions including the Giant's Causeway.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay - but there is room for more attention to detail.

Radisson Roe Limavady

We stayed here 21st October – 23rd October for my husbands 40th birthday and our wedding anniversary. Got a fantastic deal £158 for 2 nights B&B + 1 dinner. I had emailed & phoned the hotel to organise a few things in advance of our stay, they were very helpful any time I contacted them and all was as arranged during our stay.

We arrived early and as the hotel was full (conference’s taking place) we couldn’t check in until 3pm. We went to the bar in the Coach House, which was lovely. Checked in at 3pm and we were allocated room 19 on the ground floor over looking the front of the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was full and no upgrades were available, reception were very helpful.

Room 19 was quite spacious for a standard room, double bed & a single bed, both very comfortable. Storage space – a few drawers and some hangers on an open fronted wardrobe. Safe, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer and a flat screen tv with lots of channels. No mini bar though as per website? The room was very clean, a few areas that could be attended to by maintenance or decorators but nothing major. Bathroom was a decent size, shower over bath, single sink and some toiletries.

Would have been handy for a space to store golf clubs, we ended up leaving them in the corner of the room.

There is free wi-fi in the hotel which was great to have, I was able to use my ipod touch and keep up to date with emails etc.

I had booked spa treatments for our first day, Roe Taster and Roe Sensation. The Spa staff were very pleasant and really made you feel at ease. The spa area was very serene, clean and it was bliss! Kirsty was especially helpful. I would definitely recommend using the spa and getting a treatment whilst staying here.

That evening I had booked the Coach House for our meal (part of the deal) In advance the hotel had arranged a birthday cake for my husband and reserved us a nice table by the open fire. The food was absolutely delicious! Staff were lovely and brought us a complementary bottle of champers with our meal – such a nice touch. I would highly recommend the Coach House for a meal.

Breakfast was in Greens Restaurant within the hotel, this would have to be the nicest breakfast we have had to date in a local hotel. Again the staff were very pleasant and we didn’t have to wait long on a table. There was a large range of hot food, cereals, toast, continental etc.

We made use of the pool, sauna and jacuzzi on 2 days, it was lovely and you looked onto the golf course. I had booked golf lessons for my husband, Shaun was very good and would recommend him. We also used the driving range which was good value. We never had a chance to use the main golf course but it was busy enough.
If you are out and about the North West area during your stay and passing through Ballykelly, stop at Tommy’s Chippy – delicious fish & chips – yum!

Would we go back – YES! We loved every minute of our stay and would definitely go back again. Excellent value for money, lovely staff and a perfect stay.

We went for a short break looking forward to a good quality hotel, nice food and use of the spa.
The hotel was excellent in beautiful surroundings, room lovely, staff friendly but the dinner in the main restaurant was very disappointing. The spa was all I had hoped and I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment.

My Group stayed for two nights 9-10th November 2009. We had a 32hr Conference for 15 people. Myself and three others stayed on for a further night (10th November) I have to compliment all the staff in the hotel from the cleaners, restaurant staff, spa and reception / reservation staff. They were all very helpful and couldn't do enough for our group during our stay. The rooms are all very well planned out. The food is excellent and the conference facilities are also excellent. I am a Coordinator of a group and stay in many hotels around Ireland. The service I received here is the best I have ever received. This is my second visit with a group since August to the Radisson SAS Roe Park Limavady and we are planning to visit again in February. I would highly recommend the hotel to anyone I meet.
