Hotel has deployed a relatively new building but still selling rooms in the old building and rooms are simply DISGUSTING.... I would really never ever go there again... Worse: service is as poor as these very old rooms and nothing is made to help you throughyour stay.
I would quote this hotel as a 1 star hotel
My personal recommendatin, as you can't get guarantee to have a room in the new part, ABSOLUTELY avoid going into this hotel

As joint organiser of a reunion at this hotel, to say we had a marvellous time, is an understatement. From our arrival on Friday, many of us stressed by horrendous journeys, I can only say the staff on reception met us with warm and welcoming smiles and soothed the tensions! All the rooms delighted the party of twenty four! Breakfast was good, and, above all the toaster actualy worked and produced toast which was neither cremated or uncooked - this has got to be a first! The dinners provided on both evenings were wonderful, beautifully served and presented and above all hot, even served on hot plates, a rarity these days.
I cannot thank Stephanie enough for her help in organising the weekend and for all the staff that we came into contact over the weekend for their efficient and friendly service and for Daniel who made us all laugh so much on Saturday. It was a joy to be there!

Room Tip: All the rooms are of the same quality. The "bungalows" are currently being upgraded so pe...

We as a group of 6 friends finished off our holiday at this hotel and was extremely happy with the service, cleanliness and the food we received in the evening and at breakfast time. The staff were very friendly and obliging.

Stayed overnight on a weekend, thought the hotel was very nice we were staying in the old part which had loads of character, if a little weary at the edges, for the most part was clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast the next morning in very pleasant restaurant, although we might consider staying there again, we were a little put off as this was a pet friendly hotel and the room next to ours had a dog shut in there barking which was annoying, however when we complained it was dealt with. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

A friend booked this hotel based on a previous stay. The hotel itself is a little non-descript.....its rated as three stars and they cover the 3 stars easily. The rooms are large, beds comfy, staff very helpful and the restaurant food was well above the standard I would have expected. There weren't very many people staying while we were there, but it seems as though they could cope well with larger numbers. A few minor issues when we arrived do not lower the rating, the rating based on value for money alone.

The room did not appear to have been vacuumed thoroughly - we came across three dead daddy longlegs on the floor. There was a slight stain on the bedding, even if they were clean you wouldn't put out stained sheets! The floor under the bedside tables hadn't been hoovered and there was large layer of dust on the plug sockets. In the bathroom there were marks on the mirror and a message appeared when they steamed up after our showers. Not impressed really.
The food and atmosphere in the pub however was really nice.

Stayed here the weekend of the Ragley Hall proms. Short driving distance to Ragley hall which was the deciding factor of booking this hotel. Easy check in, however we were on the second floor of the annexe and this was not explained how to get upstairs. Sounds a little obvious but the stairs in the annexe do not lead to the second floor rooms, just a seating area?! Anyhow, the room was quite nice. Clean but very travel lodgey if you know what I mean. We too were woken in the night by noisy wedding guests but this is not really the hotels fault. The shower was feable but did the job. Breakfast the next morning was average. They were busy but not full and the buffet was a little slow at being refilled. Staff were pleasant. Overall an ok stay.
