As a lot of you know, Gjibo's is the seafoord restaurant across the road from Zio's, that is also owned by the same family. While Zio's is more accessible - I find that Gjibo's are that bit more willing to push the boundaries. My wife and I have been several times now and more often than not, we have honestly found Gjibo's to simply be a better restaurant. Service is fantastic, the setting is also fantastic - I particularly enjoy being able to order a glass of Asahi beer for £2. With regard to the food - generally, it's fantastic too, but a few of their dishes did disappoint, a little.
1. Lobster - the lobster thermidor was fantastic, the only problem was that there wasn't enough. While i don't expect all-you-can-eat portion, when I pay £15+ pounds, I would expect more than 3-4 bites. Even the waittress at that night acknowledge the portion of lobster was a little stingy.
2. Monkfish - the monkfish in sweet pepper and coconut sauce was certainly tasty, but for me, it was a little bit too bland.
