“Unpleasant Receptionist”
Reviewed June 29, 2013

Stayed in the premier inn Wednesday 26th June with four work colleagues. We had a long journey and arrived at the hotel @ 10.20 and upon checking in the receptionist who was very disinterested proceeded to tell me I did not have a reservation even though I had my booking confirmation with me. She told me she couldn't find my booking and it turned out later that she had checked someone else in as me. She had my work colleagues reservation but wouldn't check him in - after standing for 10 mins I suggested should we go to the bar and get a drink while she sorted it out - also there were rooms available so I couldn't even be re-entered in again!!!! She reluctantly agreed and I said this would be compliments of the hotel ??? which she snapped - it would only be tea and coffee, which I told her to forget about it. Eventually we checked in, I was told not asked that I must pay now ( which I was going to do anyhow but it was in the mannerism that I was asked!!) She had to take payment separate for the rooms couldn't take them together. We finished our drink in the bar and went to bed. Thankfully we had a warmer and friendly receptionist the next morning when we checked out....it's a pity all staff can't be like this.,

Stayed in this "hotel"last night Saturday 22nd June.on checking in I found the receptionist to be uninterested in the customer and unhelpful. We went into the adjoining bar restaurant service here was poor and all the tables were littered with empty bottles and glasses there did not appear to be any body managing the place after about 15 minutes standing at the bar we managed to be served .When we went to our rooms we took the lift to the second floor ,the corridor was filthy and was not hoovered there were stains on the carpet and although we had booked a double room there were only towels for one person in each of our rooms. All in all the service and standards we not there and we paid £81.00 per room so much for the value for money concept here .

That's all we heard last night during our stay in room 3. It was the reception door. Air con also noisy. Double bed very small. So it was a long, noisy, sticky sleepless night. Reception staff nice. Not their fault we were given worst room in the building, despite me ringing the day before for a quiet room. Room spotless. Never again !

Situated on a small retail park on the outskirts of Coleraine, this hotel offers everything you might need for a trip to this area of Northern Ireland, at a reasonable price. Don't let the fact that it's on a small retail park put you off because it's more an advantage than a disadvantage. If you have kids in tow, you can walk to a McDonalds, Burger King or Frankie and Bennys and Sainsburys is just around the corner. The area is very quiet at night and either side of the hotel is recommended. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and complement what is a good, clean hotel, with large, airy rooms, firm beds and good sized bathrooms. The only gripe I have is with the foam that is offered as an alternative to soap, situated over the sink. It has the consistency of a watery shaving foam and does not offer a good cleansing alternative. The breakfast offered next door at Table Table is of a reasonable standard, although the coffee on offer (supposedly Costa) was the worst coffee I have ever had and was just lukewarm. I suggest a better alternative for breakfast, would be Frankie and Bennys, round the corner for
the princely sum of £5.

The hotel was of the usual high standard that I have come to expect of Premier Inns. Clean, comfortable and spacious room with excellent shower. Friendly and helpful reception staff. It is also very well located for the Causeway Coast. Only downside was the meal that we had in the Table Table restaurant on the Saturday night. I have eaten in other Table Table restaurants in the past and have generally found them to be quite good. This was an exception - badly burnt sausages, dry fish and a truly appalling risotto were amongst the offerings. They must have different chefs in the mornings because the breakfast we had the following day was excellent.

Went to this "restaurant" last night and the service was rude in the least after we sent wrong food and burnt food back. The waitress blamed the cremated onion rings on the oil! The rest of the food was good. The other downside was listening to the staff moan about various things within earshot of our table and even moan about being told by a more senior member of staff that they would do something right even if they had to do it twenty times! To see a member of catering staff come behind the bar to glare at us as we dared return food, in a set of whites which had to have been washed with a bag of coal is a great corporate look. Overall it looked like uncommitted young staff not interested in their job/good customer service or being left a tip! Being rude to customers takes a lot more effort than being nice. This restaurant will slide quickly if this is the way staff are allowed to conduct themselves. Good luck to the manager as they have their work cut out for them.

We stayed for a night in the Premier Inn in Coleraine whilst attesting a wedding with a large group, and found it to be a really great no frills hotel, with super friendly staff when checking in, getting food, organising taxis etc.

Definitely recommend to those on a one night stay, bit out of own for anything longer.
