Visiting relatives in this part of N Ireland poses a problem because of a lack of decent places to stay. Most hotels don't get enough business year round - and it shows.

Tried the Adelphi after Trip Advisor Reviews.

Good bits outweigh the bad making the overall experience pleasant enough to warrant an above average rating.

Good - Staff were very friendly and an added bonus all the front of house were N Irish. Breakfast was good and Bistro great value. ( no where else to eat in Portrush worth mentioning ). Comfortable beds, clean bathroom.

Bad - 402 was a bizarre room with the wardrobe slap bang in the middle of the room, TV only visible if sat in one corner of the room and cannot be seen from the bed.Wafer thin walls and a poor shower. Licensing issues mean the bistro / bar are not child friendly in terms of opening hours.

Overall I'd stay again in preference to the other options in this area, but I would book early as I am sure the other room options are better.

We stayed at the Adelphi to play golf on some of Northern Irelands finest courses. As organiser you never quite know where to stay and looked at a number of websites but the Adelphi came up with a great rate. On arrival nothing was too much trouble and the staff were so friendly. The mother of the owners getting up specially one morning to cook a number of big breakfasts for 8 very hungry golfers. Go there and sample for yourself you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to return Ralph S.

We were driving along the Northern coast and hit Portrush on the Bank Holiday Monday! We spotted the Adelphi when we first hit the town and its beautiful decor and facade lured us in.
The seaview room that we had was huge, bright and cosy!

The owner, Mark was great and gave us some great travel advice(thanks for mentioning the ferry Mark:)).

Overall I can't complement the Adelphi enough, there should be 6 stars for this place!!!

I will be back and have told anyone that will listen about the hotel!
