We were rather surprised to find a room in Portrush for the Irish Open Weekend so reasonably priced and really weren't expecting much, just somewhere to lay our heads. It was a big surprise to get a fully equipped rather tasteful room with ensuite, tea facilities, fridge, TV, hairdryer, iron etc. The staff were just lovely and the breakfast surpassed many big hotels I've stayed in before. At the last minute we unexpectedly had to bring our young daughter with us and there were no issues at all, nor was there an increase in price (we had to insist on paying for her breakfast!).I will definately be using the Avarest House again and recommending to my friends and family. Great location as well......

We stayed here for the North West weekend and had a great stay. Got a key to the door so we could come and go as we liked. Had a great room, good size with a lovely view over the sea. The breakfast was nice and freshly cooked. There was a fridge in the room which was handy.

Room Tip: They have some lovely rooms with a seaview.

Just wanted to pass on our thanks for a lovely stay - Friday 6th April for 1 night (we were the surfers!). We had such a nice visit last Summer that we decided to stay here again. Especially wanted to pass on our delight at the young guy helping to serve breakfast on Saturday morning - he is a real credit to you, genuinley polite and friendly and very attentive! We had trouble with the cold water tap not working in our room but reported to reception and was fixed promptly. Very happy with our stay.
