“4 star hotel standards”
Reviewed June 7, 2010

We chose this B&B as a base to walk the Causeway Coast from Carrick-a-Reed rope bridge to the Giants Causeway. This is a first class guesthouse with standards you would expect in a 4 star hotel – but with a warm welcome too. We had Room 6 which is spacious, with king size bed, newly and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was varied and freshly cooked to order. Off road parking, free use of their PC with internet (free wifi available too) and satellite TV in the room completed the package for an ideal stay in Portrush. The hosts, John and Frances don’t welcome partying types, which is great news those looking for a quite restful stay.

When we arrived the owners came out to greet us and to tell us they had moved there car so we could park our bike at the side of the house, and then parked there car behind it so it was safe. Was a very homely place to stay food was great and the room was outstanding, clean and fresh. It is only a 1 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk into town. Really couldn't ask for more. There hospitality new no bounderies.

Ideally situated (9 miles away) for easy reach of Giant's Causeway / Bushmills.

If arriving by train you will find Dhu Varren station marginally nearer than Portrush station.

Very friendly and obliging hosts.

Excellent, spotless room. Free use of computer (Internet).

Ample, tasty breakfast.

Stayed at Aaranmore Lodge two nights during our visit to Northern Ireland. Was greeted by Francis who gave us our pick of the available rooms and then recommended a place to eat dinner which was fantastic! Room was large and comfortable with a great bathroom and excellent shower. John cooked us a great Irish breakfast both mornings and was always willing to chat while he worked. A truly top-notch B&B made all the more enjoyable by owners who enjoy what they do and enjoy people they meet. A+

Very good location. The owners received us in a very hospitable manner. The breakfast was beautiful. We enjoyed our short stay in Aaranmore though the price for the night was quite high as for this time of the year. We definitely recommend this place for other travellers.

From the friendly greeting until our send off with John in the van to the next B&B our stay was a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was made deliciously to order. We were five Canadian Ladies travelling together and felt very relaxed and secure at this location. The accommodation was ideally situated close to public transit, taxis or walking to other sites to see. Francis and John was so helpful and helped us get the next day's travel organized. We highly recommend this B&B to anyone travelling in Portrush.
