“Home from home, a place to relax, perfect location, made to feel very welcome, even the dogs!”
Reviewed April 4, 2012 for a stay in April 2012

Trying to find somewhere to stay anywhere in Northern Ireland with the children, never mind the dogs can be almost impossible! Stumbled upon this farmhouse with the help of google, and what a find! And the bonus that it's on the Antrim coast, and the dogs were made very welcome! I love having a holiday at home and not having the hassle or worry of leaving dogs into kennels!
The house was perfect, loads of character, with separate bedrooms for the kids, so no late night giggling and carrying on instead of sleeping, and what was even better is they were on a different floor to us!
Lovely welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, bread and biscuits!
The house is 2 mins from Portrush town, meaning you can enjoy what Portrush and local area has on offer but then leave the hustle and bustle behind and relax when you get back to the house!
Perfect break, great for beaches, Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge!! I didn't do it as I had to mind the dogs, thank goodness for that excuse, once is all you have to do the bridge and I did it 20 years ago!!
The property has been given a 3 star rating, but feel that this should be higher http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYHet6bPBVQ&feature=youtu.be

I wish Adrian and Felicity all the luck with the property, I'm sure we'll be back again, and if you ever thought of selling it ...

Management Response

The fact that we make pets welcome turns out to be a big selling point. Felicity and I are delighted you enjoyed the stay so much - you clearly enjoyed the aspects of the house we like best - a bit of space from the children, room for the dogs inside and out etc. We are now working up a list of good dog walks for visitors - feel free to email me any to include for future guests.
And yes - in the unlikely event we are ever selling...I will let you know.
We look forward to welcoming you back.

“Lovely cottage set back from the road”
Reviewed March 2, 2012 for a stay in March 2011

I stayed in March, which meant that my first experience of the cottage was of the daffodils in bloom, all the way up the drive, and in the garden. Inside, the open plan arrangement with the kitchen and sitting room worked very well, but it was nice to have the cosy little television room for when it was dark and cold outside. The bedroom was comfortable and the walk in shower was something I hadn't seen before and which I will copy in my own house if I ever get the chance.

“Great accommodation - even in the rain!”
Reviewed February 26, 2012 for a stay in March 2011

We were very impressed with this comfortable accommodation. From outside it looks like a quaint old cottage. Inside it is very spacious with all mod con. and spotlessly clean.
We were a bit unlucky with the weather and had a few days of typical Irish rain, but the comfortable lounge was a great place to sit and read, or just look out at the views across the valley. We really appreciated the underfloor heating.
Our little dog loved the freedom to run about the garden and farmyard.
Tip: Take a day trip to Donegal on the car ferry from Magilligan Point (about twenty miles away) to Greencastle in the Irish Republic

“Thoroughly recommended”
Reviewed February 25, 2012 for a stay in May 2010

We had a very enjoyable stay at the farmhouse. It is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped - it has everything you might need for your stay.

We stayed with some friends who brought their dog with them. The farmhouse was ideal for this as the dog was made very welcome. There are plenty of places for dogwalking including the excellent beaches at Portrush.

Besides Portrush and Coleraine, which are only a few minutes away by car, the Giants Causeway, Bushmills and the Antrim Coast are also close by.

Overall we would thoroughly recommend the farmhouse as a great place to stay.

“Wonderful property in superb location”
