We booked the Ramada as the name has a good reputation - it's a shame the Ramada in Portrush didn't stand up to it.
Don't get me wrong the room was lovely and clean, the staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good, but that's where the good review ends.
We did't get a sea room which is nothing to complain again, that's just the luck of the draw, instead we got a room at the back of the hotel situated above a generator or something; the noise was horrendous. The windows had to be shut, even then (in an extremely stuffy room) a search for ear plugs started at 11.30pm. They managed to shut out some of the noise. Prior to this and after a phone call to reception, we had to used our key card as some kind of tool to try and turn off the main light - there was no dimmer switch as there should have been and according to reception our only other option was to remove the key card totally. Sticking a card into an electric slot for 10 minutes is not how I like to spend a valuable night away.
There were no toiletries available in the bathroom, apart from a handwash recepticle which wouldn't have looked out of place in public toilet.
Finally, and this is an issue which still has me in shock - paying for wifi!! This is something you can walk into a McDonalds and use for free. Every hotel I've stayed in over the last few years has offered wifi as part of a room package, especially one that hopes to attract the business user.
An average stay in hotel with a name that lets you believe it would be an above average stay at the very least - We think next time we'll try the Adelphi

We stayed in this hotel last Saturday night and, as a frequent business traveller, I have to say that this is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff were very friendly and helpful on check in creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our room was spacious with a lovely sea view and a huge bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath!!! (Bathrooms are of particular importance to me as I spend ages getting ready). We had dinner in the hotel restaurant- it is a VERY popular spot so you need to book in advance. I have eaten in other restaurants in Portrush and there is no comparison. The hotel restaurant is well worth the visit. The food is delicious and very reasonably price- great wine list too. Definately try the thirsty onions and the cheesecake is to die for! Breakfast in the morning was equally impressive with all the choice you could want! Restaurant staff were also so pleasant and helpful. I loved the cute little homemade soda farls. If you are planning a trip to the North Coast, you be foolish to stay anywhere else! We are already planning our next visit.

Stayed for 2 nights with our 3 yr and 6 month old children. Lots of room for a full size extra bed and a portacot. Room had a wonderful view to the ocean. Reception staff always had a welcoming smile and were extremely friendly and helpful. (apart from one, who I'm guessing
is in the wrong job). Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. Dinner was excellent and very child friendly, paper and colouring pencils for littlies.

Nice hotel - however, no parking - good location and the food was good - Portrush is not a fine dining location - so the hotel was one of the better options
