These links are laid out amongst the sand dunes of the North Antrim coast as untouched by human hand as any links I've played, yes including the Old Course or Pebble Beach. Not a course for the high handicapper, though still enjoyable if played of the front tees. How Rory shot 62 round here is a miracle. When played when the wind blows is awesome. The only reason the R&A don't bring the Open BACK here is infrastructure, the course is measurably superior to the Wiral/Ayrshire links.
Try it you will not be disappointed !!!!!

This course is a great links course that is challenging and extremely fun to play. The course has a lot of variety in the holes and the course demand accuracy over length. I would play this course again and again!

Quite simply one of the best golfing experiences the game of golf has to offer, superb mix of holes, if only we started at 17 and finished at 16. The only slight weakness is the lack of definition playing 17. If you think Turnberry birkdale etc are good then you haven't played portrush.

This course is usually considered to be one of the best in the world and the reputation is justified. A wonderful mix of shorter and longer holes with substantial change in elevation combined with deceptive dog-legs make this course a challenge for all. While caddies are not required, the first-time player should strongly consider given the naturally deceptive nature of the course.

Visited the Golf course and loved it, had a round and then a drink, I would love to go back, friendly staff, regular members all very accommodative of strangers, definitely recommended.
