“Try Elsewhere”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 27, 2014

Travelled to the area in July 2014 and came for dinner. Waited over 30 minutes for a table. As we had no reservation, the wait time was expected. However, there is nowhere to sit while waiting. The bar had only 5 chairs.

The restaurant is very warm as there is no air conditioning.

Food was mediocre. Nothing special. We wish we had eaten elsewhere.

“Really disappointed”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2014

I visited this restaurant on Thursday 24th as I was staying in the area.Restaurant was busy and really warm due to lack of air conditioning.Staff very friendly but the food was really bad.Very limited choice for a restaurant in a seaside resort ie very few fish choices.I ordered the mussels as a main course and they were freezing cold. They were replaced but the replacement fish and chips was very bland.Really disappointed with 55 degrees north and will not be back.Views from restaurant were really good but the food is really bad.Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone

“Don't waste your time or ££”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2014

Seated at 7.45pm.
Drinks & food order taken at 8.05pm (20 mins later).
Drinks arrived warm and without ice at 8.15pm (30 mins later) ...not a pleasant experience dining with children.
Requested ice for drinks & was given 1 x glass with ice cubes.
Food arrived at 8.35pm (50 mins later).
Quality - school dinners at best.
Requested Parmesan cheese for my pasta dish & was told it was £1 ...never arrived.
Wife was told chicken was coated in batter, but arrived coated in breadcrumbs and tough.
Restaurant was like a sauna, waiting staff were glum & lacked knowledge of menu.
Overheard other diners complaining about the drink & food waiting times.
Meal experience - worst for well over 10 years.
Opinion - Don't waste your time or money.

“Awful, need to improve!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2014 via mobile

Awful place. Went to bistro but with kids, views are awesome that us the only good thing about it! Service dreadful. My husband ordered gluten free pasta then the waiter came out and grumbled no gluten free pasta order something else. When my husband asked what other gluten free options there were the guy shrugged and said he had to ask. My husband then had to guess what he cud have. When food arrived my husband had taken my youngest son to the toilet. Our meals were thumped down. I asked Wud they mind getting cutlery as I did not want to leave my 5 yr old in his own. The waiter grunted the cutlery is over there. There are much better restaurants In Portrush which are better value and will not put u in a bad mood! My pasta arrived cold but I just couldn't be bothered to complain due to the awful service. Will never be back!

“Great value & view”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2014

Parents recommended this restaurant for the early bird deal - free starter & dessert with every main course. Very popular so trying to get a table for 2 adults & a toddler @ 5.40 was impossible, we were told to come back @ 6.15pm, when we arrived back they said it would be another 25 mins they were apologetic though :(. The early bird menu runs till 6.45pm but they allowed us to order from it.

Place was very busy but the service was quite efficient, food was quite good, very good main portions & a good choice for each course.

The evening menu also looks good but we didn't try it. Very popular place, steady stream of dinners thru the evening. Would definately return.
