“Highly Enjoyable”
Reviewed August 13, 2012

Everything about my visit to 55 Degrees North restaurant was wonderful. My husband and I were greeted by friendly, accommodating staff and after just a short wait (as we hadnt booked) we were taken to a lovely seat for two by the window overlooking the ocean (the entire restaurant is just floor to ceiling windows so all the tables have a nice view.) The food was delicious and unbelievable value for money. I had the steak which came with chips, onions and pepper sauce all for £14.95 including a starter and dessert. The service was efficient and friendly. As it was busy we had expected a long wait for our food but this restaurant is obviously used to alot of customers and can deal with the high demand competently. I cannot fault our experience in any way. Superb!!

“Best views of any restaurant in the world”
Reviewed August 11, 2012 via mobile

Food and menu have improved dramatically this year. All options looked lovely and meals fairly priced. Staff slightly inexperienced but friendly. The view and value for money make this a real treat. However you will need to book on weekends and during summer session.

“Best view in portrush wih super food”
Reviewed August 10, 2012

Went to portrush for the day and chose probably the best day this year. Went for a walk along Postrush beautiful east strand to white rocks and returned to have lunch here. Table had terriffic view over the strand. Food really good. Had a selection of bread with olives and tapenade for starter and a super main course. Battered cod was great as were the chips. Chicken , perhaps not so good but, on the whole a good meal

Steak was as I wanted, Pudding was nice without being huge (quality beats quantity every time) service was friendly and discreet, I would go back if I ever return this way

“I felt I had been let down.”
Reviewed August 5, 2012 via mobile

Having read reviews here I decided to try for myself. I did not book so I had to wait an hour for a seat and as we were only two could not get a window seat because that is obviously for groups of four and over. I had peppered chicken on a bed to mash. Ok the food was good but for £11+ I got a piece of chicken which I wails describe as minuscule and it was sitting on a bunk bed of mash. Had I have just wanted mash I would have ordered that, I wanted chicken. I honestly felt I had been done. On the other hand staff were nice and I had a good te, but frankly I could have got better value else where.
