“Spectacular accommodation”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

I can echo wholeheartedly other reviews. The house is amazing, beautifully built with great taste and no expense spared by Raymond and furnished likewise by Sue. It is a great location for the Glens and both Cushenden and Cushendall. Breakfasts were marvellous (Veggies well catered for) and Sue and Raymond were great hosts. They showed us round the self-catering cottage next door which is fantastic and well thought out for the disabled and carers. Thoroughly recommended!

Room Tip: All fabulous; views to back are the best!

I have to say what many others have said about Glenn Eireann House B&B and what a fantastic place it is. The accommodation is beautiful, very clean and modern and is in a wonderfully scenic part of Ireland. A perfect area to explore from. As a large family group over for a wedding we filled the place and Susan & Raymond made us all feel very much at home and part of the family. Their hospitality is second to non. We stayed 4 nights and every morning a hugh delicious breakfast was waiting for us to set us up for the day. They have even just completed separate purpose built self catering accommodation for the disabled. It has been designed and built specifically for wheelchair users so they can be totally self sufficient in every room including the kitchen & wet room. There is also a second bedroom suitable for an able bodied person. Susan and Raymond clearly love what they are doing and are both very friendly, caring people. I would recommend their accommodation to anyone visiting the area and we will certainly be going back there.

We received a warm welcome from Susan and Raymond McKeegan to their lovely home. The house is amazing - big, modern, clean, well furnished and has great views. Susan was very friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. The breakfast was great and she catered for my daughter who required vegetarian. Raymond told us he intends to offer the new house he has recently built to families soon. The house has amazing facilities for the disabled so watch out for this next season. We shall return,

Room Tip: We had three rooms and they were all great.

Exceptional Exceptional Exceptional. Down to earth approach belies an excellence of service! impossible to find fault in any regard. Well, perhaps one thing..................tried to book my family in for a stay in larger independent unit across courtyard only to be advised accommodation cannot facilitate due to there being only two bedrooms at present. I'm hoping the owners develop the property in the short term to accommodate larger number of people.

Room Tip: Book Courtyard accommodation for a wonderful independent experience over a few days - especially if...

I can honestly say that staying at this guesthouse was the highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland, and for us was as much a part of the 'essential experience' as visiting Belfast or the North Coast. Susan and Raymond were so welcoming and friendly that they made us feel the whole time as if we were staying with family or old friends, not just like hotel guests. The house is beautifully built and designed, and it's still very new so there were no problems with any of the facilities or anything, everything was basically in perfect working condition. Rooms were large, bright and cosy, and the big shower in the bathroom was luxurious. I am a massive fan of inclusive cooked breakfasts and this one was definitely a winner with everything you could ask for, including Irish wheaten bread which was delicious. The problem was that I couldn't finish it! They are happy to add or leave things off the breakfast if you ask.

The location was also ideal for us, being not too far from either Belfast or the North Antrim Coast, and the coastal drive around Cushendun (the village nearest to this b+b) is splendid, especially the part as you head north into the mountains towards the Torr Head Scenic Route. It is only a short drive into Cushendun, and on our last day there we (on the recommendation of Raymond and Susan) took a walk round the Glenariff Forest Park, which was gorgeous with lots of waterfalls and stunning views- it was hard to believe we were still in the UK.

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves here and I totally recommend it. Thanks for being such excellent hosts!

I can't say enough wonderful things about this bed and breakfast. Susan and Ray were warm and welcoming, the room was new, clean and big. The breakfast was by far the best we had while spending our 12 days in Ireland - we were so full, we passed on lunch this day. The morning we were there it was so warm - it was hard to believe that Susan said just the week before it had been very cold and they had had to have the heat on in the breakfast room! When in Cushendall - this is THE place to stay.
