I recently stayed at The Hilton Templepatrick, Belfast, Northern Ireland, and would highly reccomend this hotel to anyone who is arriving into Northern Ireland or Departing from Belfast's International Airport.

The Hotel Location:

Beautiful! The hotel is set on a Stunning Golf Course, which is just off the main road to the city and the airport about a 15 minute drive to Aldergrove Airport and 20 minute drive to the centre of Belfast.

The Room:

HUGE! A lovely room with a very nice spacious bathroom, the bed was a very comforable double bed with pleanty of pillows. The room had a flatscreen TV with good channels, and a great funtion that let you listen to music whilst in the bathroom (quite cool!).

The staff are just marvellous!, really happy and welcoming! The know how to show the Belfast Spirit.

The Breakfast is served in the main restaurant with a great view of the golf course, it serves the traditional 'hot' options plus some local specialities (which cannot be missed).

Something that I did not get the time to use was the Swimming Pool, Gym and Spa facilities, however, I did get chance to look at this area, and I assure you next time I will make full use of these facilities...remember your swim gear!

Room Tip: Rooms towards the back of the hotel have a great view of the Golf Course, whilst rooms at the front...

Having stayed here a number of times before, we booked the Romance Package of Dinner B&B advertised around Valentines. We were given a lovely 'deluxe' room on the Third floor with a view over the golf course. As a surprise to us we received as part of the package a bottle of bubbly and a lovely plate of chocolate dipped strawberries - all chilled and served to our room!

Dinner on Saturday night was good. The menu choices were limited with a number (too many!) of the dishes requiring a supplement to be paid and the price of a glass of wine is extortinate!!
The service in the dinning room as always was excellent (many thanks to our waitress Kym - who always seems to recognise us on our return visits!!)

The bedroom was fresh, however, for a 'deluxe room' on this occasion there was no bottled water, bathrobes or slippers provided for our comfort. Don't skimp Hilton on the small things!!

The leisure facilities were fine but like many areas it is getting a little tired and the hair driers were not working. Jacuzzi was very cold!!

Whilst there were a few niggles, it didn't detract from us making the most of the overnight R&R.

Room Tip: Third floor deluxe rooms have a lovely view of the golf course (room 325).

We just stayed here for the first time. Even though we only live about 15 minutes away it was lovely to get a break away. Staff very welcoming, explaining everything (breakfast/dinner times etc) We booked the Hilton on a dinner b&b deal which was well worth it. The dinner was beautiful. Well done to the chef! We also got a surprise when we checked in as we were put into a deluxe room with a great view over the golf course. The room itself was really spacious with all the normal amenities. The only thing we would have to comment negatively on would be the prices in the bar. An average bottle of wine was between £28-£30. Now we are not being miserable here but one of the £30 bottles was one we have previously bought in Tesco for £5. A large glass was £9.00. Again we are not miserable people and are quite happy to splurge on a good wine but this was not it. If you are staying here you don't have much of a choice but to pay it. (Unless you are tee total of course in which case you will be grand.)
In all this hotel is nice but being so close to home we probably wouldn't stay here again as one night away, 10 minutes from home, with a few drinks cost us about £200.

Room Tip: Ask for one overlooking the golf course.

Our family had two rooms adjoining. Room size was ok. Pull out bed was ok for kids. Twin beds for me and husband were very squeaky and fairly uncomfortable. Towels were definitely not hilton standard. Breakfast was average - there really wasn't much in selection for the kids. Pool was nice, but closes at 7 for kids so be warned. Health club did look good. Was a bit of a drive from Belfast - and there wasn't much in the way of places to eat outside of the restaurant.

Was a bit disappointed that hotel chose to put our room next to a "party" room. Came back from dinner with a sign on the door stating "party here". Had to listen to drunks banging on the across hall door at 10ish, 1:30 and from about 4:30 till 6:30!!! I think there had been an outside group having a party in the ballrooms - which is fine, but shame on Hilton for putting families next to this group. Hilton ended up comping the room but wish we'd slept better.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, both at the front desk and restaurant.

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were very attentive. The waiter that served us for dinner was fantastic, he tended to our every need and was very pleasant. The bar staff in both the restaurant and bar were friendly and efficient. The only disappointment was the bed in the room, I found it very hard and rather uncomfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay and my partner and I will definitely return soon.

Just a word of thanks to the staff of the Hilton Templepatrick for the lovely weekend stay we had. The room was lovely, the food was excellent and the health club was great, but what makes it all brilliant is the staff in every department being so nice and friendly. The hotel itself is slightly showing it age but in no way let that put anyone off staying there, I'll be back soon hopefully and might even be allowed to take my golf clubs this time.

Room Tip: We asked for a smoking room to get a balcony, which was nice.
