Description: The French Rooms is situated in the heart of the Bushmills, home to the world's oldest licensed distillery and the Gateway to the Giant's Causeway - a World Heritage site. Our vision is for a warm, welcoming and informal setting, a place to meet up with friends, drop in for a morning cup of coffee with a 'treat', browse through our shop or savour the flavours of our elegantly prepared dishes. There's lots to explore, firstly the shop with its eclectic range of French inspired gifts then the Cafe with its 'snugs' and zinc topped tables and bar counter. The "Moulin Rouge" is ideal for a semi private party of up to 10 persons or try the Garden Room which leads to the garden terrace which, in good weather, is a sun trap. On colder days the Garden Room fire is the perfect spot for relaxing with a newspaper and a snack.

“A Great Addition to the Bushmills Scene”
Reviewed September 4, 2013 via mobile

We were there for dinner for the second time in two months and had booked for a birthday celebration on the back of visit number one. The food, service and surroundings were all terrific and we will return when we are next on the North Coast. As a footnote; we also have had breakfast there on a Sunday morning and it was equally good. Well worth a visit.

“A treat.”
Reviewed August 31, 2013 via mobile

We stopped for coffee and cake. Service was friendly and quick. We ordered petit fours and coffee- these were delicious although slightly expensive - good for a treat. The shop is lovely with high end items.

This new Cafe is not only a treat for the eyes but most definitely a treat for the palate. On our first visit we had 'brunch' which was DELICOUS , today we had breakfast and again were not disappointed ,the staff are efficient and friendly ,
The ambience of the French rooms is relaxing and indeed we will be back for another visit ,ASAP .

“Still Room For Improvement”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Visited again with 3 other couples. Quickly shown to our table & provided with menu's etc & then left. Took a while to get waiters attention to order drinks.
A selection of starters were ordered & most were of reasonable quality but on the small size. Soup was the winner. On to mains, mainly the pork for 6 of the 8 diners, . When served the pork was uniform in size & shape, not overly large which gave the impression that it was bought in from a factory! I had the chicken breast which again was on the small size and over cooked. The best choice of the night was the fish. Of a good size & beautifully cooked.
Service was hot and cold, attentive & the non existent.
Waiting staff are all very pleasant.
Whoever is in charge really needs to address the issues of service & average food. Things have only improved slightly since our last visit. Overall opinion from the party, 'Okay' nothing wonderful.
