My husband and I stayed in this delightful, well equipped holiday home in September 2013 and I have intended ever since to take the time to say that it was absolutely the best. We have rented holiday homes in many countries and this one is outstanding. We stayed for almost two weeks touring most of Northern Ireland from this location.
We can't say enough about the owner who kindly adjusted the price of the larger cottage as the smaller cottage was not available. When Susan noticed we were buying firewood she insisted that she would see it was replenished regularly. We so enjoyed our evenings by the fire. After touring for the day we often ate dinner in the cottage having discovered easy to prepare meals from the M&S Food Store in Coleraine - a good dinner, a bottle of wine, a warm fire and the latest episode of Downtown Abbey who could ask for more.
We also enjoyed very nice meals at the Bushmills Inn and the French Rooms and intended to try Tartine but the comfort of the cottage made it difficult to leave so it will have to wait until next time. Susan recommended The Nook and we had a very good lunch there after trekking out to the Giant's Causeway. Some of the highlights of our trip were day trips to Londonderry and the walking tour around that walled city; our Black Cab Tour in Belfast and the Titanic Exhibit and driving the Antrim Coast. There are too many other outings to mention but Northern Ireland has much to recommend it. Most of all St. Columbs Cottage was the real gem!
Stayed here for a weekend break with 3 girlfriends. It is situated in a cul d sac which makes it a safe place to play for children. The cottage is absolutely beautiful. Everywhere is clean, bright and furnished to a very high standard. Everything we could possibly have needed was there including logs for the woodburner. There are 4 bedrooms, 2 double, 1 twin and a smaller single room.
There was a welcome pack waiting for us which included teabags, sugar, coffee, milk and a packet of shortbread.
Susan is a lovely lady who is very pleasant and helpful.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage.

On arrival at the Cottage we were greeted by the owner Susan who was warm, friendly and most welcoming. The Cottage was everything we expected and more! It was clean and more than equipped for everybody's needs. The Cottage we stayed in had 4 bedrooms, one en-suite. All rooms were immaculately presented and more than comfortable. It's location is ideal for visiting Bushmills Distillery, Giant's Causeway and the Carrick a Rede Rope bridge -all within a 10 minute drive. I would definitely recommend the Cottage to anybody wishing to stay in Co. Antrim. It has been one of the best breaks we have had!!
