Owner description: The Causeway Coastal Route is a designated scenic tourist drive around the coast of Northern Ireland between the cities of Belfast and Londonderry. The route follows the coast and takes you to several major tourist attractions along the way including The Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle, The Old Bushmills Whiskey Distillery and the Glens of Antrim. There are also nine scenic loop roads that run off the main Coastal Route. These are: Islandmagee, Slemish Mountain, Glenariff, Glendun, Torr Road, Glenshesk, Bann Valley, Binevenagh Mountain and the Roe Vally. One of these (Torr Scenic Road)is quite narrow so do be careful if your not used to our small roads, one tip is to pull in your wing mirrors on the Torr Road.

The coastal route was definitely worth the drive. There were some nerve-wracking moments because of the narrow and twisty roads. There were places to stop at the side of the road and take pictures. The scenery is breathtaking!

This route takes you along the coast, and you can see some beautiful sights. It isn't for the faint of heart, though. It's narrow and twisty, and the locals drive pretty fast. Also, some of the homes along the road open right onto it. In other words, be careful - a local could open the door to go out, and you could knock his door right off!

Only if it's sunny or somewhat a bright day, otherwise everything is grey, take the main road................

We drove up from Belfast. The drive was so worth the little extra time it took. You could stop many times to look and wish you could stand in that spot to soak in the views. I could drive it over and over and not get tired of the views. One of the prettiest places I have ever been.
